    Hi ladies!

I'm a waiting bee and have my heart set on a Maggie Sottero dress. Can y'all tell me the highest price of them? I have money set aside for it, but and I want to make sure I'm saving the right amount or over.LOL You know they don't list prices on dress websites.lol

Also, once you bought it, how long did it take to come in or whatever was needed it for like alterations, ect.? I'm plus size, if that gives you need to add any extra info.

    Thanks so much ladies! :)

$1,000 mark- not sure how much I'm spending on alterations, they're getting done right now.

I also tried on several (although I went with a mori lee), and the ones I tried on were between 750-1200 (I did tell the shops not to show me anything over that price range, so I'm sure there are some that are more expensive)

I have a Sottero and Midgley dress.  It took about 5 months to come in.  I am in Ontario, Canada and it cost me about 1400 including tax.  The alterations are apparently going to be no more than $100.

    Good luck!

I tried on several.  They all ranged on either side of the $1000 price tag.  For the longest time I had my heart set on one that was 900, but ended up falling for a 1200 one.  I think my alterations shouldn't be too much. . . hopefully.

Wow, you ladies are quick! LOL!

I'm surprised. I thought they'd be more, but like nmsoonerbride said, there probably are some. The only thing worrying me now is how long it might take to come in.

I ordered mine in October.. original price was $1129 but got it for $967 total, including a shipping fee.  I was quoted that it will be in in April, so about 6 months.

creativeplannertobe- I'd surely buy it if I could wear it.LMAO!

These are great prices, but is 5 to 6 months the usual time for a wedding dress to come in?

with tax, mine comes out to $1160. alterations could be $200 - $300 - but that will vary depending on what you need done and where you get it done.

5 to 6 month is about right.. of course you can always put a rush on them to get them in sooner...I think it just depends on the store you are working with as well

I too have a Maggie.  I got it off the rack from a bridal store.  I adore it.

New Maggie dresses cost around $1000, but if you get one off the rack from last season they can be around $500, even the fancy lacy ones (like mine!).  Since so many of her gowns are lace up, buying off the rack is a lot easier and fewer adjustments ultimately need to be made by a seamstress.

Thanks again ladies! I especially love the rush ordering idea and buying off the rack. This meshes well with our time frame. :)

I live in California and my Maggie dress was $1100. The weekend I got it the shop was doing a special in which they will throw in either a side seam alteration or hem. They also gave me a $200 credit towards shoes in the shop, but they were ALL hideous.

I'm in the UK and mine cost £1195 plus an extra 10% for a plus size (anything over a size 18 incurrs this charge) plus an extra £100 for extra length as I am 5ft 10....sooooo, in total it's cost me £1414.50!!!!! And that's not including the cost of altering it to fit me perfectly either! Oh well, the price you pay for a dress you love!

    mE!  They are between 700-1500

    They usually stay around $1000

She has the most gorgeous dresses I think. Only thing is that her dresses are made small.

Kitzy & cherrycoke- We have set a date, but I'm waiting on the "offical" proposal and I'm hoping I don't run out of time since I'm thinking he may propose on my b-day (in April). I'm just thinking if I'll be able to get the dress I want, or change it to something else. I'm just paranoid. LOL

They seem to run anywhere from $900-$1500.  If you feel like a road trip, Bridal Mart in Savannah carries quite a few Maggies, as well as some other well-priced lines.  They also have a "plus-size room" with lots of samples.  Also, check out the "used" sites--preownedweddingdresses.com, recycledbride, oncewed, etc.  Maggies are popular and you may be able to find yours at a great price.

I hit quite a few ATL-area bridal shops so PM me if you would like my opinions.

I'm buying the Maggie Christina for $900 plus tax.  I haven't been quoted alterations yet.  It is supposed to come in in four months.  When I first started looking, I thought they woudl be much more expensive.  Her dresses are beautiful!!

I just purchased "Gracie" in ivory- it came to $1300 including the Shipping&handling. I won't need much for alterations, just shortening the heming and taking in the bust area-so that shouldn't be too much.

In my bridal dress hunt, most Maggie dresses seemed to be between 1,000- 1,800.
