Ala Lilly from "How I Met Your Mother" hating the word "moist."
I have always hated the word, "Platter." As in, "Mom, when you go to TGIFridays will you bring home a platter for me?
I hate the word aluminum (mostly becuase i cant say the word right lol)
I have that same problem with the M word...I didnt know someone on the TV show had the same issue as well. LOL I feel like a dork, but I cant even bring myself to say it, let alone type it. HA!
Fork.
I mean, most words you can figure out the latin derivative, and where it might have come from.
But, come on. FORK. random.
I have lived on the west coast my whole life, but my family is from the east so sometimes I say words a little differently than people from this region. For that reason I hate the words: radiator and crayfish because I get made fun of for my 'a' sound and I also hate "sure" because I guess I say that one funny too lol.
@west.coast.blonde: I often pronounce it "shore" instead of "shur." I annoy myself.
I know someone who has issues with "moist." I honestly can't think of any words that I just can't stand the sound of.
haha. My FI has issues with the word moist. Not going to lie I use it every now and than just to see the look on his face. :)
I myself cannot stand the word Panties. Ick. Underwear people.
I hate the word chipotle. Not only is it ugly but I hate how people mispronounce it as chi-pot-ll

haha I don't have a problem with either of these words but have found that "moist" and "panties" are commonly hated words. And the people who hate the word "moist" usually also hate the word "panties."
I hate "pet peeve." I know it's two words but I hate the combination.
@MrsSl82be: I'm with you on the P-word for underwear, but also the P-word for lady parts. Ugh. It grosses me out to no end for some reason.
I hate the word "squish". Nothing pleasant ever comes with the word squish.
Squish a bug...Squish a pimple...

@JulesSchnooks: very true, also the c word. Makes me want to punch the person who said it
"squirt" makes me cringe and "tadpole" makes me hystercially laugh for days on end. Weird.

Then there is panties. I HATE that too. Which then comes "pantyhose" (which my mom said the other day and I had to correct her, which led to a conversation about tights, nylons and pantyhose)
I hate THIGHS. Say it in a deep voice. Like "mannnnn thighssss" It is creepy. So when people realize I hate all of the above three words, they string this sentence together.. "Mmm I have moist panties by my thiiiighs". I freak.
Panties. I just. Can't. Say. It. I say underwear every time. It's just an awkward word to me!
Mine is penetration. I CANNOT STAND watching a football/basketball game and hearing about some dude penetrating! All that are on the field are dudes!!! So not ok with me...
I really dislike the word mature when it is pronounced "ma-tour" I know its technically the right way to say it but I much prefer "match-ur". Yuck...I hate that word

I really hate the word Acne haha, but I dont know why...its not like I have tons of them!
its not so much a word I hate but I CANNOT stand when either and neither are pronounced with an 'e' sound instead of an 'I'. oh and moist is icky.
I hate the word "succulent". Like, when you hear a commercial advertising a food and it desribes it as "succulent" I automatically DO NOT want to try it. Eww.
