I have a thing for rugged rough around the edges type of guys. I have never dated a guy who wore a suit to work or even a shirt and tie.
Looks wise, my FI looks nothing like my type. I like dark rugged men.
Definitely! Usually dark features and a good profile. Although when I dated I flitted around all around the board.
well i always thought i did... clean cut... 'preppy'... and then i met fi. hes totally not my 'type'. he has a full sleeve of tatoos... a little rough around the edges.... NOT preppy in any way shape or form. hes more rocker like... lol. we compliment one another perfectly tho! i love him to pieces!
I thought I did until I met my FI. Turns out my "type" was the "asshole" lol. Lucky for me I found my FI - which ironically enough I almost didn't go out with because he was soooo different the other guys lol. I loves him =)
My FI is always teasing me about my "type"... He calls them cookie cutters... After my divorce, all the guys I dated have that same look...lol
I like the motorcycle, bad boy type.
I have a weakness for blue blue eyes and dark hair on shy guys. Pretty much every guy i've dated except one has had blue or green eyes and all but one had dark hair--all but one were introverts. They were either athletes or country/cowboys. Good looking in a rugged, preppy way but not "pretty" or metro.
In the end, I married a social, outgoing guy way hotter than anyone I've ever dated with killer style--something most of the other guys didn't have. Tan with blue eyes and dark hair. ;-) I think I made out like a bandit!
Like the two PP above, I thought I had a type too.
I loved tall, blonde, athletic, preppy, clean cut guys. Most of whom turned out to be real jerks. I even tried to cut out the looks part, but keep the rest of the items and they still treated me like crap.
My husband is tall, salt and pepper, ex-athletic, laid back, a little scruffy w/ tatoos guy. Not at all what I would have expected, but he is sweet and wonderful & treats me well. Thats all that matters.

bwahahahahahaha! oh, yes. I definitely have a "type" and my FI fits it perfectly and introduced me to a now-mutual friend who also fits my "type". (my FI constantly teases me about our friend, too, lol)
dark curly hair (or wavy), dark in aura (yes, I do mean aura...), dark eyes, and is the proverbial knight in shining BLACK armor!
I LOVED Porthos in the 1993 Three Musketeers, loved Lando in Star Wars over ALL the others, had a crush on two high school classmates (both had dark curly hair and eyes, lol).... and the friend has dark curly hair, eyes, and has a dark aura about him (which is why my FI teases me about him, lol!)
my FI is most definitely a knight in Black shining armor, and we have a chemistry that all our friends spot immediately. Whether they see us together two minutes or two hours.... which is probably why we've been together for 8 years! LOL!
I find all my previous boyfriends have varied greatly appearance wise, but I definitely have a type personality wise! Geeky, intelligent, funny and adventurous!
My family and friends have a running joke that every guy I've ever dated look like the came from the same Meowkers Boyfriend Making Factory. I have a very specific type and pretty much every guy i've dated has fit that type. FH fits it to a t as well.
I don't think I have a type. FH isn't really like any of my ex's. Lucky for me. :)
I even have a personality type- I think my DH is simmilar in personality to my best friends.
I always go for guys with dark hair and dark eyes who are slightly androgynous, and always on the thin side. It's really weird because I don't even try to narrow it that way--it just happens.
Definitely! Every single guy I've ever had a significant relationship with has been tall, super athletic, and on the quiet side with a great sense of humor. And my FH is the tallest, the most athletic, and the funniest one of them all, haha.
What can I say... this girl knows what she likes!

I was always attracted to tall meaty guys. FI, however, is not either of those things. But he is the perfect fit for me :)
I had the same type my whole life, skinny, artsy, indie hipster.... until I met my FH, who is a man's man, strong, built, knight in shining armor type and all mine. God, I love him.
My whole life I've been attracted to tall, dark-haired men. I seriously never found a man with a different hair color to be attractive. Skin color can vary, but apparently I need that dark hair. *shrugs* I also never found very muscular men to be particularly attractive. I've always been happy to have someone slim or fit but not particularly muscled.
FI is "not my type" in lots of areas, but I'm marrying him so obviously in the end, more important things prevailed. Here are some patterns I observed in my past boyfriends:
