I do. I had never had any smartphone before and I just got an iphone4 this summer. LOVE it.
I do. I live in the boonies and can't get internet, so when I'm not using the internet at work, my iPhone is all I have!
I don't - I have an Android Phone (Nexus One). I freaking love it. I considered the iPhone as a very close second though!
I'm kind of thinking of upgrading to the iphone4 after the wedding... But then again, I'm thinking of getting the new Kindle, doing some long awaited shopping, buying some shoes... Basically all the things I would have loved to have bought during our engagement but can't because we're saving up!
@ejs4y8 - same here... love my iphone and not so much love for the work crackberry.
I have an iphone for personal use and a blackberry bold for work and perfer the iphone, there is no comparison in my opinion.
I have an iphone3G, it's been absolutely amazing for over 2 years now. I am abut to upgrade to the 4 though, I wanted to wait a few months until they fixed all the "new release" bugs. I seriously dont know how I used other cell phones before, I can't even remember how to text without a qwerty keyboard!
I love my iPhone, so much that I probably need an intervention (spent a weekend camping in the woods, and I had the urge to use my iPhone to look things up). I have one for personal use and one for work!
I have an LG Shine 'cause I'm awesome like that.
(No, really, I don't care about technology besides my computer. As long as it makes calls and I don't have to pay some obnoxious media plan, I'm happy.)
@lilyfaith: Exactly! I have a very basic standard flip phone and have no desire to have anything else. I need to make phone calls and that's it - plus the media/data plans are so expensive. Just wasted money IMO.
I have 'THeKnot' App, kinda sucks IMO but it has helped me with some answers to questions.
I do and as a PSA for all who have an iPhone or Smartphone...
Oterrboxes are not all they are hyped up to be! I bought one for "assurance" and "peace of mind." Well, not even 2 weeks after spending $50 on an otterbox, I phone slid out of my car when I opened my door. It fell... what.. 1.5 feet... gently. My screen is shattered more than I've EVER seen an iPhone shattered. The only thing holding it together is the otterbox, and I'm convinced it's this bad BECAUSE of the box! You can tell that the stress had nowhere to dissipate and so imploded in. 100% of the surface of the screen is shattered....
Of course, I just replaced my 1st gen iPhone finally at Christmas... so to buy a new phone will be like 3-400.... sadness!
SO and I both have iPhones, and we love them, but he writes software for the Blackberry, so he has a soft spot in his heart for that too.
If they made blackberries the way they used to, I'd totally still have a Blackberry. But they're total crap now, so I have an iPhone. And I looooooove it! I'm not hardcore Apple addict by any stretch, but it is super fun.
I purchased the original iPhone 3 yrs ago and I was hooked! Never upgraded until the iPhone 4 came out and until I received my "bumper" I hated the 4. Lost reception, wouldn't make calls. I almost threw it out the window. Since I've had the bumper I've hadn't had a problem. I love the iPhone.
I do not. I have an Android.
My fiance has an iPhone, and the Android operating system is "clunky" in comparison.
When Verizon gets iPhones, I will probably get one. (Verizon is the only carrier that has decent service out in the middle-of-nowhere where my parents live, so when we go visit them we need at least one of our phones to work decently!)
Since day one! FI is a mac developer and we are hardcore apple people. My iPhone is literally my life line and I cannot live without it.
Mine is on order, I can't wait!!!!!!!!!! I've wanted one for soo long! I hope I don't have any issues with the 4 though, what is this "bumper" thing all about? Is it just like a firmware upgrade?
Haha, CaitMarae, I'm kind of the exact opposite of you and your fiance! I'm a web developer (C# mostly) and have always been a "PC-person". So I'm kind of swallowing my pride wanting an iPhone over my Google phone!
I would like to have one. Maybe if they go to Verizon.
wow, i'm pretty surprised at these results. i did not think that iphones would be half!
Yes! I am a devoted Apple fan and love all of their products <3
I've had the 3GS for a little over the year but can't wait until April when I can upgrade to the newer version, I would say iPhone 4 but they will probably have a newer one out by then. And I'm one of those weird ones that gets better AT&T service than Verizon so I've never had a problem with dropped calls or anything.
Bought mine (iPhone 4) three days ago and I'm OBSESSED with it. And I'm a huge Google fangirl, so the loving it like this (instead of Andriod) really caught me off guard.
LOVE LOVE LOVE my iphone even with the screen all smashed up thanks to one of my kiddies.. its been over 2 months and still no one will own up to it :)
Mine got stolen couple month ago so I had to buy a new one
If you get one make sure to buy the MobileMe feature. I found out the hard way that you're pretty much screwed without it because the provider will not track your phone.
I'm on my second iPhone. I actually won the first iPhone in an online contest, back when it first came out and it still cost $600. People used to stop me on the street to ask me about it, until they dropped the price and everyone bought one.
I upgraded to the 3GS in January, and now the 4 is out. I want to upgrade again but I know that as soon as I do, the next one will come out. Those sneaky Apple bastards!
I love my BB! Mostly because of BBM. I've never tried an iphone though, but I don't really care about browsing the internet or downloading apps.
@KLP2010: My now husband (!!) shattered the glass on his iPhone, and looked up on youtube how to fix it. THe new screen cost about $12 and it took him about an hour to repair it. I think the Apple store charges over $100 for the same repair! It's definitely possible to fix it yourself without having to buy a new phone. He also replaced his friend's iPhone LCD screen, and his own battery, to get more life out of the phone. All super cheap and fairly easy.
@europomme: The bumper is a case/shell I received from Apple for free once they discovered the antenna flaw. My bumper goes all the way around the sides of the phone. It's not bulky at all.
Like MissSloth, I've had one since the very beginning before they dropped prices. Unfortunately, I actually paid for mine. Ouch. Then I upgraded to the 3GS and this year I upgraded again to the 4. I'm a PC girl so I'm not an Apple fangirl or anything. But I do lurve my iPhone. It's so bad that I got my fiance hooked and now he has one too!
To answer a question upthread, the bumper is a case for the iPhone. Although it's overprices and really doesn't protect your phone at all. If you are going to spend $30 on a case, please buy something that at least covers the back of the phone too. The glass can and will get scratched.
@sloth: Thats so funny, I got the same reaction when we first got ours on day one. I felt pretty damn cool for a good 6 months then everyone and their brother seemed to have one. I was kinda bummed considering we paid a small fortune for ours.

Procrastinating with job hunting and so thought I'd start a poll- how many bees out there have an iphone?
I don't- I use a Blackberry.
