I was just wondering... what nick names do you have for one other??? (you fiance and yourself)
I call him either, Mon amour, or Bozo
he doesn't have a nick name for me he just calls me by my first name....
what about you????
Recently he started calling me designated. Meaning future wife. I just thought it was adorable. I just call him babe, honey the usual.
For him = Hunky Buns, Hunk Meister, etc (and babe)
Me = Philly Chick (and Babe)
i call him: darlin, handsome, baby, and my man
he calls me: sweet pea, sweetheart, precious, "my baby"
We both call each other "baby". Honestly, that's all we've EVER called each other in the 3 years we've been together. If he calls me by my name, it sounds super odd to me. And if I call him by his name, he knows he's in trouble LOL.
Sometimes he calls me Bub or Petal
and sometimes I call him My Love or Cute Butt
plus all the usuals like Honey, Babe, Darling, etc.
Like a few of the others he calls me "my baaby". I call him sparky, he is a boilermaker/welder and he works with sparks all day.
I call him Ranger, cause i think he would look hot in a ranger suit. And sweets, and hun
He calls me dip to the shoe my darlin.
Every day nicknames are babe or baby and love or lovey. He also calls me hun or darlin' sometimes. We never call each other by our first names unless we are trying to get the other ones attention in a crowd.
But our super mushy names for each other that are only said in private? I call him SQUISHY and he calls me BUTTON :D
We do the usually babe/baby and I'll occasionally call him schmoopie. But as far as private nicknames go, I call him Lobby (short for lobster), which is a Friends reference. He calls me Otty (short for Otter) because I'm his significant "otter."
@babyboo - I love that you have super secret nicknames lol, that's fantastic.
@beckaboo1121 - I love the friends reference!
I sometimes call FI 'bubby' and he usually just calls me babe. Although it's odd to call one another anything, it's usually just him and I hanging out and names are not needed :)
I call him hubby, my love, Gregasaur.
He calls me Jellybean or JB, or momma.
Booba......I had I Love you Booba engraved in his wedding band.
Other than the usual things like, Love, babe, baby etc
He calls me: Sexy Pajamas, Doll Face, love bunnie, cupcake, & sugar
I call him: Boo Bear & love muffin & sexy
We refer to each other as "girlfriend" and "boyfriend" (and we refer to the cat as "kitten").
Lately FI has been referring to me as "Double T" since after the wedding my first and last names will both start with T.
We also call each other the regular "babe" etc.
We NEVER call each other by our first names...it just sounds so strange when it happens and we don't like it! How crazy is that?
We call each other "honey" and "darling" and "my love"...we never use "babe" or "baby." We usually stick to silly ones like "pumpkin" "honey bear" "sugarpants" "button"..aka the ones that make most people sick! It started out as a joke between the two of us, but the just kinda stuck! :)
We always call each other babe and like most others it sounds sooo weird when i hear him actually say my name. and if we do say each others names its probably because we're arguing lol. He knows i hate it when people call each other "baby" so when he wants to get on my nerves he'll calll me baby like every other word lol We also call each other "popeye" and "olive" because hes in the navy haha.
Our norm is babe and hon(ey). He calls me Masi also, because of how my Japanese friends say my name. I call him Deenis (Dennis) also. He also calls me Sunshine, QT, or Sweets sometimes.
I call him baby, honey, dear, or by his first name. He calls me Kiddo. All the time. :-)
We rarely call each other by our real names, and when it does happen, it's weird! Our usual is "babe" - even more usual is him calling me "little babe", I call him "big babe" He comes up with a new nickname for me at least once a day, I could write a book with nicknames! Most of the nicknames he comes up with begin with the words "my little." His newest one is "my little pony" - which he thinks is hilarious since I used to collect my little pony's growing up.
Then we got into the Tudors, and now I'm the little pony princess. I really look forward to my new nickname when I get my daily morning e-mail from him. His parents once overheard us with our nicknames, and that's all we keep hearing about!
I call him honey or poo poo (this started as a joke and now I call him it all the time when we are alone)
He calles me babe or GG
He calls me Goober and I call him Biran when we're joking around - I kept typing too fast and was typing Biran instead of Brian so now when we're joking around I call him it, LOL.
I call him honey bunny and he calls me his "bug" or boo boo.
The honey bunny thing totally started as a joke (my mom has always called me honey bunny and I thought it was so adorably and disgustingly cute) but turns out he loves it! haha
my husband is not a morning person -hence he is called "Captain Crankypants"
Our corgi puppy who constantly wants her own way is "Eva the Diva"
I'm just "Red"
He's actually never called me by my full first name- since it's also his mother's name and it creeps him out. So it's my normal nickname, sweetheart, and dear.
I occasionally use his full name if I don't think he's really paying attention, otherwise hun with different inflections.
Its "hun" mostly, which has led to his nickname for me becoming... "Attila" *facepalm*
Other than that, its "Babes", or if he's feeling real cheesy then "Honey Buns". He's only ever called me by my first name if he's exasperated or angry (He likes to drawl it out Ozzy style)
I call him by a shortened version of his full name, apart from the usual stuff, and yeah it's really weird when anyone else addresses him with his complete name.
He calls me PB short for Polar Bear :) So I started calling him GB for grizzly bear lol cheezzy i know
I just had to post in this thread. ^_^
We call each other "baby" all of the time and "honey" occasionally.
I call him "My handsome ray of sunshine" I have no clue where it came from...If anything, it makes any surrounding people roll their eyes at me and my fiance. XD
We do the usual terms endearment. We rarely ever call each other by our real names...
He calls me turtle. I made a funny face once that looked like a turtle and it stuck. If he doesn't call me that and calls me by my first name, then I think something is wrong.
I call him Tone. His real name is Brent, which evolved into Brenton, which oddly evolved into Tone.
My fiance is so funny... he has no creativity when it comes to nicknames. So basically, I start calling him a nickname, and then he starts calling me the same thing. I tell him that he can't have the same nickname for me that I have for him, but he doesn't care!
For the last while I have been calling him "Bug" (and therefore he has also been calling me "Bug", or "Buggy"). Sometimes when I'm annoyed at him this morphs into "Bugger" or "Booger" though ;-)
I actually only use his first name when I'm introducing him to others, yelling it as I'm annoyed with our cell phone reception, or if I'm upset with him. Any other time, I call him Bubees, Bubs, or Puppy.
He calls me Babe, Baby, or Sweetie. When I'm PMSing, he consistently and without fail calls me Grumpelstiltskin.
We had funny names for each other before we got married (we lived together and are in our 40's/50's and I just could not call him "boyfriend" --felt too silly)! So, we started saying things like "spouse type person" or "husband/wife equivalent" I often referred to him as "my guy" or "my honey" but right now, I just love saying MY HUSBAND!
Babe/Baby is the most common for both of us~
It's not really a nickname (since they tend to be shorter than names), but it started because I started calling Lucy (our dog), Lucy pants...so that led to me calling him Mr. Pants and he would call me Patty Pants...I'm not really sure how "pants" came around, but we joked that rather than take his name when we get married, maybe we should both change our last names to Pants...which led to him saying that "Pants" wouldnt be cool enough, so it should be Rocketpants or something to make it more awesome :) (However, Rocketpants has not caught on around the house).
I never thought I'd be in one of those relationships with nicknames (who wants to call their significant other baby?), but somehow it just happened. We both use our regular names when talking with other people, so it's not really weird and I use his fairly often because his hearing is not great, so his name will catch his attention better than nicknames!
I still need to come up with one for him, but he calls me "delectilicious" or "pineapple"
@LYBYANA:we call each other whatever is going on at the time...but it all starts off with pumpkin butt....like right now i'm pumpkin butt-wedding planner-dutch oven master.lol it's pretty funny and makes us happy
@laprellie: My husband called me pumpkin butt yesterday! I was like "pick a smaller fruit, butthead."
