    Hey Bees,

I was wondering if I  HAVE to have a rehearsal dinner? All of my money is going to this wedding and I honestly cant afford to pay for everyone at a dinner. What can I do? Do i really need one? Any one have another option maybe? Id really appreciate any advice on this. This ones really keeping me up at night!

I know a lot of people do pot luck dinners for the rehearsal. We are keeping things causal, since we will be paying for the rehearsal dinner ourselves and I think we are doing pizza at a really cool restraunt or at our venue which has water parks. you can usuually do that pretty cheap.

Where is your ceremony? I do know also that somec hurches have rooms you can use for free, so maybe you could just do sandwiches and snacks after rehearsal and then call it an early night!

IMHO, if you are having a rehearsal, then yes, you should have a dinner as well.  It doesn't have to be anything fancy or even at a restaurant.  You could make speghetti and meatballs with garlic bread at your house and it would still be super cheap!

Personally, I would say yes. And I understand exactly how you feel about putting all of your money into a wedding. But, they are doing you a favor by going through a dry run of your wedding. I agree with the options that the others have mentioned. We are taking people out for pizza as well. I don't think anyone will be upset with that!

i agree with sandiegoali, if you're having a rehearsal, it would be nice to have a dinner. but it doesn't have to be fancy schmancy. we're not having a rehearsal, but still doing a lunch, (also not fancy) and i'm kind of confused to why. it just kind of happened... and i'd kind of rather have time to get ready for the wedding. but oh well, too late now!

I know some people who have the rehearsal during the day the day of the wedding.  They let the bridal party minus the bride practice standing and walking down the asile.  Then they make the boys leave and the bride practices with her Dad and the bridesmaids.

    Just a thought.
