A small tradition we have is when one of us goes to visit the other (we live 4 – 5 hours away, LDR) we give each other a box of Mike and Ike candy. It is both of our favorite candy so we usually end up sharing (yay!). Just a little thing that we started about 2 months into dating.

@Chael:  SO and I have been dating for over 7 years (highschool sweethearts!). One of our biggest traditions, yet small, is that we always draw/write little blurbs, like our anni date or little stick figures of ourselves, on the backs of our greeting cards that we give to each other(birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, Valentine’s day, you name it!) We’ve been doing this ever since day one and it always keeps us laughing!

We do!

I make a HUGE feast for Super Bowl Sunday. Like enough for 5-10 people! And that’s what we eat ALL day!

And on Easter, I surprise him with an Easter basket! And then I eat most of it.

We do all the things we WOULD do if we had kids ( like Easter baskets, carving pumpkins, dyeing eggs) probably because I HAVE done since childhood and did every years with friends before my fiancé came along. Also, we celebrate the 17th every month ( I think it started because in the beginning you count months together) because that was our first date ( and happens to have always been my fav/ lucky number- it may be a card or a trip somewhere amazing but we always celebrate:) he is a genius because he proposed 7-17 and our wedding date is  10-17-14 – I love it:)

I don’t know that this is tradition yet, but each year on our anniversary (used to be engaged anniversary, now it’s wedding anniversary) we go to the restaurant where he proposed and buy a canter of wine, which we draw on and bring home. We’re collecting them now. 🙂 Three so far!

Omg, I do “what if” questions.  It drives FI nuts, but he would miss it if I quit!

We also go out to lunch on Sundays after church.

Chael

we do go on vaca pretty much every year and recently it has fallen on feb. so its almost our tradition to leave that month lol.when we go out to eat we always sit next to each other so we can be close (and i guess stare at the table in front of us. jj) and most the time order our two things as one person. cuz we always share half. When he comes back to town (from fishing) we always buy pears and brie.”:) we make a cheese platter (with some crrazy good cheese weve never tried) and salami with crackers. Also once a year, ususally around my birthday. but its in aug when ever he gets back from fishing. we go to the snaziest place in town. ludvigs and we always get dessert…even if its to go.

We celebrate our dating anniversary instead of our wedding anniversary. And because I remember every significant date ever in our relationship, I also remind him when it’s the anniversary of our first “I love you”, first time we slept together, the day we moved in together, day we conceived our daughter, etc. and we have some happy reminiscing.

@Chael:  every night when we turn off the light, we stop and give each other a big cheesy grin as we flick the switch. i think it started at the start of this year and I can’t really remember what set it off but I swear it is the  nicest thing to have my grinning fiancé as the last image in my head as I go to sleep! We’re total cheesters.

We make over the top handmade cards for birthdays/christmas and every October we go away for a weekend for our dating anniversary.
