bourkelton:  how many bridesmaids do you have? That will impact the “getting ready” time and in my experience takes longer than you would expect. You want to give yourself some cushion just in case. We are doing a first look so we’ll take as many photos with the bridal party and family as we can before the ceremony to save time.

bourkelton:  If they’re all getting their hair and make up done (minus the bridesman) I would say an hour for each of them and an hour and a half for you. Do you have one person doing eeeeeveryone?? Or will she have assistants?

Sorry, I don’t have my timeline finalized yet. We’re working out some details but I know that with my three bridesmaids, my mom and myself, we’ll probably start getting ready around 10/11am for a 5:30/6pm ceremony. Just to make sure we have enough time, and also for pictures.

bourkelton:  Hahahaha yep 😉 FH and I are slightly crazy & love singing “we’re going to the chapel and we’re going to get maaaaaarried”…. but of course substituting rooftop for chapel 😉

What would you all suggest for a bride who is walking down the aisle at 10:30AM and can’t be at the venue any sooner than 8:30?  Our reception is from 11am-3pm.

As of right now, we’re just wingin’ it!

bourkelton:  I would add your make-up time into your timeline. Also, email your schedule to your vendors and see what they think. They are experts and can tell you if they see any hiccups!
