I love brunch! I don't typically diet or care about the calorie aspect of my food. But I do love all the carbs in brunch foods. My personal fave is when restaurants have a combo dish that includes a small stack of pancakes or waffles.
Mmmm brunch. I'm thinking about making some right now. Bacon and eggs and toast though, so besides that bacon, not a huge calorie killer.
A large breakfast only really happens on Saturdays when I actually have time. Sundays I always oversleep so I only have time to grab a granola bar or fruit before running out the door for church - though we always go out after church for lunch. Saturdays mean pancakes or french toast or omelets. Yesterday I had "stuffed" blueberry pancakes with blueberry greek yogurt and a little bit of syrup- so good but so filling.
speaking of brunch...ANN SATHER'S CINNAMON ROLLS!!!!! YUMMY All the Chicago bees know what I am talking about. :) If you are not familiar Ann Sathers is a very famous brunch place here. you order whatever you want on the menu (sandwich, omlet, etc.). but your "on the side" item is the best part! You get two cinnamon rolls (per person) about the size of a large human head! lol They are made from scratch and smoothered in made from scratch icing!!!!!!!!!!!! SO GOOD! I just got 2 scambeled eggs and the cinnamon rolls and I could barely make a dint in the cinnamon rolls. lol I cant wait to go back but I am trying to be good and not lol
@bestbuddies:OMG.. I LOVE those cinnamon rolls! And they come with every dish!!! Soo missing Chicago now.
Brunch is my favorite meal! We meet my mom and my grandmother for brunch every Sunday. :) I had scrambled eggs, hasbbrowns, and whole wheat toast with jelly this morning.
Sundays are our 'date days '...we go to brunch at our favorite breakfast restaurant, take a lonnng walk after, and then a movie in the afternoon.
About to head out to brunch now, actually! :)

Ha - there's a restaurant a block away from us that does brunch with all-you-can-drink mimosas for $4.99 on Sundays. We may or may not have gotten totally wasted before noon a couple of times.
It's 1.15 pm here and DH is making me an omelette with the works :) We both just woke up.
We don't normally do brunch. Actually, the only time that we have done brunch is when we were on our honeymoon. We go to church at 10 and aren't usually done cleaning up by 12 so brunch doesn't usually happen for us. Wow it sounds yummy though.
definitely I love brunch I have two types, I have the after 12NN church brunch with my hubby where we'll enjoy a nice brunch at our local diner in our neighborhood, hubby doesnt linger I enjoy it
then I have long drawn out brunches with my girlfriends usually lasting 2 hours catching up on girl talk, I love both; it's a big thing in NY
One of my favorite places in town is a cajun restaurant that does an AMAZING brunch and a friend and I go at least once a month after church. French toast made from fresh baguette smothered in fresh blackberry sauce - and my mouth is watering just thinking about this!
I love brunch! It's the best! Lots of small little things and so many options - eggs, toast, jams, cinnamon rolls, omelets, potatoes, waffles, fruit...brunch rocks! I'm hungry now!
Brunch is my absolute favorite meal! Especially eggs benedict! (there's a reason I picked this icon... :) ). We haven't indulged as much lately just because of being busy, but I'm thinking next weekend we might have to go for it!
We went out for brunch yesterday, unfortunately what used to be a great brunch place restructured their offering from "breakfast" to brunch and increased the price while removing the previously unlimited juice. Our party of 8 was disapointed but I just bought a Groupon for a new brunch place so hopefully we'll have better luck there!
No, we usually eat something kind of naughty though like cheeseburgers or pizza.
I love Sunday brunch. I love things like Eggs Benedict, smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels, omelettes, ooh my mouth is watering at the thought. I used to work in a restaurant that did Sunday Brunch and it was the best. They don't do it anymore but I still have yearnings to go.
Oh gosh, I wish I could, but I start work at 7am on Sundays
. I love brunch!
Sunday is always my "splurge" day because I know i can't avoid it : ) We go to my in-laws after church and my MIL makes a ridiculous spread every week. It's delicious but not usually very nutritous. Come summer we pick most of our food from the garden, which feels good, but she usually adds a lot of not so good things to our freshly picked produce before we eat it.
Sometimes we do brunch on Sunday, often if we have people over after church, but more often I'll make a big breakfast on Saturdays. I still stay fairly healthy, but I like to use cheese a lot :-)

Sunday brunch is the only time DH and I get to eat together in the mornings because of our vastly different work schedules. I splurge on calories for Sunday brunch. Sunday brunch = better eat well because I am NOT making lunch! LOL
Today's was Batter-dipped catfish (one of my favorites), oven-fried taters and onions, Mammy's cornbread (baked in a cast-iron skillet), and a feta-cheese, roasted red pepper, and mushroom omelet.
