I always INTEND to but I don’t- especially now that my ring is away getting re-sized.

But I hope once I get the ring back I will be more careful with my nails, i.e. wear gloves when cleaning/cooking and also to moisturize regularly to prevent cuticluls (sp?), etc…:)

I don’t. Once upon a time (high school and sometimes in college) I’d have a lot of time and I’d do my nails every few days and they always looked awesome. That time has passed. I now mostly have unpainted nails because when I paint them they chip in like 3 days and then look terrible for 2 weeks until I fix them.

Nope.  I get frustrated too easily when the nail polish begins to chip.

@CorgiTales: I have that color and I love it! That’s what usually ends up happening to me too. Just not worth it to me anymore.

I’m too lazy to paint my nails! the last time they were painted was for my wedding and the time before that who knows.

Not anymore. Back in my teens and early 20’s I did. (I’m 33 now) I just don’t have the patience to do them much anymore and let them dry and then deal with them chipping so quickly. If the polish lasted a month, then I would do them every month. Just don’t care anymore I guess. lol Now, my toenails I’ll get done soon at the salon since it is almost sandals time here in the northeast! (LOVE pedicures!) and luckily the toe polish lasts about 4-6 weeks or more! 🙂

@CorgiTales: That’s what mine look like after just a few days. lol Your rings look beautiful! 🙂

@DesireeAnne: from zoya? I did their 3 free deal and this was one of them… but i feel like zoya chips a LOT more than OPI. Do you find the same? I don’t understand why when I get my nails done they use OPI and it lasts 2 weeks, when I do them myself with OPI it lasts maybe 7-10 days max 🙁

@Jenn23: i love pedicures! i discovered a new place here with the BEST massage chairs. Its 30 min out of my way but seriously, totally worth it lol. and thanks! I’m still totally smitten with the new addition heh.

I have since I was 17 (and I’m an oooooold bag now).

And I am obsessed with colours.  I have about 50 different (and some not so different because I forget what I’ve bought and end up buying almost the identical colour) bottles of polish.

I do my own tips (glue a fake nail half way down and file it to lay flush with my real nail) this way those suckers give me a bit of length and strength, but they grow or pop off without damaging my own nail too badly.

My toes are always a contrasting colour

+ my favorite brand of polish is China Glaze.

Can ya tell I love nail polish? :p

@CorgiTales: I have no idea either.  It baffles me!  I’m not sure of the brand off the top of my head.  I’ll have to find the bottle later.  Thought it was with my make-up.

I get an acrylic overlay over my real nails so my nails are always painted Laughing. I get a mani and pedi every 2 weeks so everything stays nice. I have been doing this since I graduated from college….so well before becoming engaged. It’s my small luxury.

I do, but I wear clear polish 99% of the time. If my nails are kept with clear polish I can see how long theyre getting and it prevents me from chewing on them.

I usually either do clear or mint green, which is fairly easy to touch up. I love darker colors, too, but it’s such a pain to touch them up every day.

For you guys who hate chips, try tips, they last until they grow off if you’re careful with your hands and the polish doesn’t chip off them.

I have to admit though, with horseback riding and v-ball, and back in the day, bartending, my tips usually got popped off way before they would have grown off.

But maybe if you’re going on a vaca or something, they’d be a good option for you?

    @Mrs Grape:

    <3 mint green polish
