my mom taught me how when i was kid and i’ve been folding them ever since. everyone is always so amazed not only at the fact that i know how, but that it can be done at all. but seriously, it’s not hard, lol.
my husband just pulled some sheets out of our linen closet and was in awe at how nicely the sheet was folded up.
so do you know how to fold a fitted sheet or do you just roll it up into a ball and stuff it in the closet?

I do know how, but I suck at it. I do fold them the way you’re supposed to, but it is still never tight and pretty.

Saw Martha Stewart do it on Oprah years ago. Its pretty easy although I could probably do it tighter

@lilchicana: I learned the Martha Stewart way! lol. I finally have fairly unwrinkled fitted sheets. It’s about the only thing I know how to do the Martha way.

@LarLa: @jadlnc: it’s funny that you guys mentioned martha stewart. my husband is convinced that no one actually folds them and i was like, “yes, they do. it’s not just a martha stewart thing!” lol

What? There’s an actual way to fold a fitted sheet? Honestly, I had no idea. 😀

I vaguely try to fold it the same way as the top sheet, but at the end it always looks like I just balled it up. I don’t really care, no one sees it in the linen closet anyway!

I know there’s a certain way to do it, but I’ve never bothered to pay attention. I just fold it like any other sheet. That’s good enough for me!

Know how to fold them, yes, but I just half-ass it, then stuff them in the closet. But once in awhile I feel like doing it properly, so I do =)

If by fold, you mean scrunch into a ball and throw in the corner of the linen cupboard, why yes! I do fold! LOL.

@lilchicana: I don’t know how, but I don’t roll it up and put it in the closet. I just “fold” it. It ends up neat and square, but there are some random folds in there

I know how, but it usually takes a long time to get it just right. Usually when we wash the sheets we just put the same ones back on, so there’s really no need to fold them.

I’m another one that tries to fold right and can never do it. My attempts always result in lumpy messes, but my mom is FANTASTIC at this. She’s tried to teach me a few times, but it’s just not sticking.

I fold my fitted sheets pretty much the same way I fold anything else, as much as I can, given that the “corners” are not right angles. I suspect that the manner in which I fold them is not the correct or best way, however.

When I was a teenager I was thinking to myself that there must be a way to fold it. So I basically taught myself. When I got a lil older I youtubed it and touched up my methods.
When I went to university, my roomates were shocked that I was actually folding the sheets.
