I went to a wedding a few months ago where the bride was wearing my wedding dress (in a different color)!  I was so excited to see someone in it.

Both Mrs. Pineapple and Mrs. Violet wore the same dress I am.  Do you get excited when you see other brides wearing your dress, or do you feel like it takes the special feeling away?

Hmmm...never thought about it, but yeah, I'd be excited to see someone else in it!  Gives me a sense of what it would look like on a "real woman."  Although...I have yet to meet another Bee wearing my dress!  Any Allure brides out there?

I've never seen another bride in my dress, but if I did my reaction would depend on whether the people I'm inviting to my wedding saw the bride wearing the dress I chose.  I don't want people at my wedding thinking "oh, I saw this dress at so and so's wedding last month"...that would really irk me.  I like to be as original as possible I suppose.  However, if I just randomly saw another girl wear it, I think I would be excited just to see how it looks on someone else!

i haven't seen anyone in my dress, and i doubt i ever will as it's not a wedding dress and it's from a very small boutique. however, my friend did wear my wedding shoes at her wedding (mine are ivory, hers were white). she was so excited to show us her shoes, and there were my shoes! i didn't like it, i want them to be my special wedding shoes. but of course i didn't tell her that, and i'm sure she was thinking the same thing as me. i didn't tell my fi this until we left the wedding because i knew he wouldn't have noticed the shoes. i was right.

I agree with what others have said...I haven't seen anyone else with my dress, but I'd be excited to!

I've never seen anyone else in my dress and I doubt that I will.  It's from a couple of years ago, not to mention it's pretty unique (I've never seen another dress like it)  I've only ever seen the model photo!

I like seeing it on websites like this because it gives me an idea of how it looks on a real person as opposed to a photoshopped magazine ad. As long as it doesn't come too close to home :) There was a Pronovias I'd tried on which I later saw on my photographer's blog. That made me decide against that dress immediately. What if our pics ended up on the same blog and I looked worse wearing it than the other bride, LOL.

Haha @ honeybun:  I'm Maggie "Carrie" and I search all the time to see it on a "real woman!"  I haven't had any luck...

It definitely doesn't bother me to see pictures.... now if I went to a wedding a week before mine and the bride was wearing the same dress, I'd be a little sad.  I think I'd be more irked if someone had my shoes though!  ;)

I've only seen it once or twice on other people and I love seeing it! Although, I think that if I saw it on someone I know, I wouldn't be as excited...it's really just exciting if I don't know them, haha.

one of my friend wore a very similar dress and I actually loved it! Gave me an idea of what it would look like in real life!

What's really interesting is that my FSIL just married a guy from another country, and his best man's new wife and I became friends on FB.... she wore the exact same dress I have--one year ago! And it looked fabulous on her. It was neat to have a kinship with her. :-) No one but FSIL will notice it's the same, so I'm ok with it. Other than her, I haven't seen anyone with my dress, which is pretty cool, but I would be all right if someone else wore it!

Add me to the "never seen it" club. I've looked and looked for another person who wore my dress and I haven't found it! One of the bees (don't remember who) tried it on, though. She didn't have any pictures of her in it, though.

I would LOVE to see someone in my dress, but so far it didn't happen... which I find curious because it's a very classic dress...

I have never seen another bride in my dress! If anyone has worn it or knows someone who has, I would love to see pictures. Here is a link to my dress, Venus VN6617.

I bought my dress from a girl through Weddingbee and it was the photos of her in the dress on her wedding day that made me fall in love with the dress. We were really close in measurements (seriously, off by 1 inch in the hips and chest) and so I knew exactly what it was going to look like on me. The funny thing was that I looked at the dress on the designer's website and I didn't like what I saw...it looks so much better in real life.

I haven't seen anybody else in my dress, but for some reason I think I'd be all insanely jealous. :p

The only time I saw someone in my wedding dress was an ad on the WB classifieds.  I didn't like or dislike it, it was just strange!  I guess mostly I just felt a kinship with her.  But the funny part is that she had a daytime Mexican wedding and I am having a nighttime NYC winter wedding (in 12 days OMG)....same dress for both types of weddings! Laughing

I'm a 2B bride..there's pretty much a snowball's chance in hades I'll find another bride in my dress.

I can't even find a picture ANYWAY of my dress.

But I wouldnt mind at all, Unless it was on a bride whose wedding I attended the weekend previous to my wedding.

(This actually happened to a friend of mine, she went to her fiance's co-workers wedding the weekend before and almost choked when she saw her dress walking down the aisle.)

Yes! I saw a girl in my dress on a photographer's blog. And it made me so happy because she added a black sash to hers which I'm seriously considering doing myself. It was nice to see how it looked. My mom saw the pics, though, and said the girl looked like a man (which, for the record, she did not). I hope to see other girls in my dress before and after the wedding. I definitely don't hate on beautiful girls with similar (read: fantastic) taste.

I don't know that I would be crazy about seeing my dress on another person at a wedding that has too many of the same guests as mine, but would love to see it on a "real" person.

I wish someone would wear my dress!  One boardbee did order it, but then cancelled her order or resold it.  I was so excited for a minute :)

I am like some of the other posts, if someone was wearing my dress at their wedding and we had mutual guests, I wouldn't be too crazy about it. But - I do like to see my dress on real people vs the model pics. It just doesn't look quite the same in "real life."

I wore a Peter Langner (small Italian designer) and his dresses order for one season only, IIRC, so probably I'll never see another bride in my dress. Oddly enough, I *hate* the dress on the model photo, so I'm really glad I never saw a picture of it before I tried it on :-).
