I’m not a fan of the “bling” or the ribbon (?) around the vase.  That might just be my personal preference.

What look were you going for? What colors are you trying to work with? Maybe she just needs some clarification.

@ashleyzarubi:   I don’t think the bling ribbon or the rocks add anything either.  The flowers are pretty.   Does your florist have those clear vase stones she could put in the bottom of the jars?

I think the rocks & bling ribbon kind of clash.. like the rocks are saying garden/outside, and the bling is saying ballroom glam.
Maybe that’s just me!

Do you have a wedding theme?

I’m not a fan of the way they’re arranged in the vases. Caveat: I know nothing about flower arranging but something just doesn’t look quite right to me…

I do love the colours you’ve chosen though, those look great together. But the way they’re put together looks like DIY centerpieces, which is totally fine (nothing wrong with that at all), but if you’re paying for them to do it I would expect it to look more pro. I think it may have something to do with the overall shape of the bouquets in the vases and also the height of the flowers – both of these things look weird in my opinion. If this were me, I would try looking for a different florist if I hadn’t already paid a deposit or anything.

@ashleyzarubi:  i’m a bit confused – so these aren’t the right flowers…and they’re not the right colours either? i honestly don’t mean to be rude but…how is this example helpful for you? is it to see the vases?

i will say i agree with your mother – i think the bling strip and the bling in the centre of the flower looks cheap. other than that, i think the set of three is okay, but the lowest one isn’t very ‘full’, it’s straight across so i’d ask for more flowers.

@ashleyzarubi:  Okay, I HATE bling like that at weddings.  I think it looks cheap and

(gasp!) tacky. However, I think all that needs to be done is have it removed, and then the centerpieces look GREAT!  🙂

Absolutely tell your florist that you’re not feeling the mock-up. Maybe not in those exact words – haha – just that you’d like to try going in a different direction with more candles, etc. Did you explain what kind of feel/theme you’re going for?

Ps. I can’t even thing of a theme that would call for rocks and rhinestones…just sayin’ 😉
