@Diamond84:  I think it’s cute and she did a really good job making the objects look like letters. The only thing I hate about this…I don’t know what you call it…is when the objects make it difficult to figure out the letter and she seems to have it down pat.

I think it’s very cute, def. not for me, but super cute still!

Have you considered your other options? There are all types of guest book alternatives that you can display in your home.

We are doing a guest book mirror [a mirror with a decal that everyone can sign, it’ll pretty large and we plan to hang it in our living room].

But I always say.. do what you love! If you love it, order it!

@Diamond84:  I do not have a picture yet as I’m still looking for the right mirror [can’t of want a sleek victorian looking mirror]

But this is kind of what I mean with decal & mirror :

Our decal is going to say “every love story is beautiful but ours is my favorite”.

There are a number of guest book pieces you could do.. an entryway bench, stool, coffee table, a painting that is colored in by your guests.

You could have a local artist paint an outline of a wedding scene, and have your guests color in the scene with paint colors of your choosing.

@Diamond84:  I love it!  What is the sellers name? We got a free coffee table book of our engagement Pics which I was going to use but I like this a lot better.

@Diamond84:  I just saw a kiosk in the mall on Friday where they were making them. I think they look really neat.

@Diamond84:  If you haven’t done some comparison shopping yet, I suggest you do so before you order. There are quite a number of Etsy sellers who simply buy something from somewhere else, repackage it and jack up the price. Search for Alphabet photography.

I think this is a great idea and something one would actually display in their home. Some guestbook ideas are simply not the type of things that would get displayed as one’s tastes change.

I’ve never been a fan of the objects looking like letters thing, but similarily I do love the idea of a signed matted frame of e-pic or wedding photo to be inserted later.

I like the idea. Guestbooks are the best when they aren’t just books. I like the newer trend of having guests sign something that will turn into a decoration for the home.

ETA: I bought a large wooden “J” initial for my future husband’s last name. Guests can sign it and then we can hang it up in our home.

@jenilynevette:  what type of pens will you be using? I would imagine writing on a mirror might wipe off with the wrong instrument.
