His pictures look fine!  Maybe ask to see all the photos of a wedding, since photogs usually just put there best on their online gallery. He does have a lot of BW, do you know if you could ask for more colored photos (if that’s what you prefer?).

He seems really affordable and you get a lot (UNLIMITED WEDDING DAY COVERAGE!?) If you and your FI like him, I say go for it!!

    marymary123:  I voted fine.

There are a lot of B&W photos in the group, and some of the coloured ones seem over saturated. But, a lot of the photos are framed well and I do like a lot of them.

Picking a photographer has been the hardest thing for me, worse than the dress, shoes, flowers, food… anything else! I’m super picky and still haven’t picked anyone yet.

I noticed that a lot of his photos seem dark or shadowy, to the point where you can’t make out the subjects’ faces. This tells me that he doesn’t have a great understanding of lighting. I’d keep looking!

THe pictures look fine, if that’s what you are looking for. I’m not a fan of his coloring style (too many B&W and the colored ones aren’t my cup of tea either). But it’s impossible for anyone else to make the photographer decision for you – you know what style/type will please you best. For example – I hired a photographer that is very photojournalistic and takes next to no “portrait” style, my mother hated his style and still isn’t super pleased with the wedding photos. I, however, absolutely love them.

Go with your gut for sure! Good luck!

I don’t know, his pictures aren’t awesome, and we have to remember that these are probably the best he’s taken. So you might get 3 that look this good, and who knows what the rest look like? Have you seen a full wedding? Check out a few before you get too attached.

I voted for “amazing” because…at THAT price?? You’re very unlikely to find anyone else who takes decent pictures. Scoop him up before he raises his prices!

Photography is such an artform.  I didn’t want to pay for the stunning best of the best.  got great photos with a great, fun photographer who had the right personality for wedding shooting.  Feeling comfortable worked.  and he had good ideas.  so i would say look at the work but also meet wiht the guy and see how you feel.  that’s important too.   I personally REALLY like your photographer. 🙂

marymary123:  it may just be because I’m a wedding vendor and am part of a wedding society that has several photographers in it, but IMO this photographer wouldn’t cut it for my big day.  There are really good photographers out there who don’t charge an arm and leg.  I would say keep searching.  🙂

marymary123:  i voted he was just “Okay” not a fan of his style, but then again it’s all about what you like. I think the Photographer should be a big portion of your budget because when the wedding is over that’s what you have remaining. Regardless of who you go with you have to make sure you are crazy about their style
