He seems to have a good range for both detail and portrais.  Also not too heavy-handed with retouching, I can’t stand that.

Eek! I was the first to vote no. I think his “eye” is good, but I really don’t like the vintage feel. This is nothing against the photographer himself, it is just a reflection of my personal tastes – I don’t really like vintage anything! I don’t mind a few photos looking vintage, but I really don’t want an entire album of vintage looking photos.

I like his composition, he seems to have a good eye for details and interesting angles. I’m not a big fan of the vintage filter, however his use of it is much less heavy-handed compared to some other photographers I’ve seen. If that’s something you prefer to underplay, it’s worth letting him know – particularly as you already know that he’s capable and willing to shoot weddings without that cast.

I’m not a huge fan of VSCO but he isn’t using it to cover any problems. It’s just his preference.

@Jbbee:  And usually emulates nothing of the sort since film did not produce images that appear to have been taken through a fog!!

I like his eye for candid moments, or being able to recreate them anyway, but I voted no because I feel like they all lack vibrance. I look for vivid colors, and to me, all these pictures look the same from couple to couple.

@Steampunkbride:  I don’t use it but if it’s adjusted well and not used at 100 everything it’s decent. Replichrome is better but if I want my work to look like film I just shoot film haha
