Hey fellow Bees! It has been a while since I have posted anything, I have been so busy planning. But anyways this is a very fun part. Picking my setting. Those of you that do not know I was given a beautiful stone in a simple setting so that I can design whatever I want. So this is what I have found. The setting is actually a split shank, but I want to fill the holes with either pear shape or trillion shape diamonds. So what I will do is show what the ring looks like with no alterations (FI does not like the holes), and my horrible photoshop job to fill in the holes (where the shank splits). Just so you know this ring is a sample and even the metal is not gold or even silver so it is not that sparklely, but once it is real it will obviously look much nicer. What do yall think of the shape, size, etc. My stone is 1.62 ct so I wont be able to go much smaller or larger in that aspect. The mellee (small diamonds) on this ring are 1mm.
Without side stones

I love it! I think pear stone would be great to fill the holes. This would be my deal upgrade!

I love it with the side stones:)

I don’t like the split shank even if you added diamonds.. I think it detracts from the overall appearance. Sorry!

My personal preference would be a simple 3 stone without the halo, but since you love the halo, I would vote pears over trillions. I think pears are more complimentary to an oval than trillions because ovals are curvy whereas trillions are sharp. Just my opinion though! Beautiful stone!

I would love the ring without the side bits. Imo, it makes the ring too busy. The shape of the centre stone is lovely though.

I love the oval but honestly there is alot goin on in my opinion. I love Ovals with no other stones with a plain shank. They are one of the stones that can get away with going it alone. This is your ring so you have to live with it so do what you want and enjoy every second of it. I love ovals so much lol they are just so yummy
