I’m a BIG fan of my future in laws. I’ve messed up a bit though with them. They still like me because of FI and how much he’s changed since being with me. They are grateful that he’s grown up so much since being with me. But I’ve made some SERIOUS mistakes with them :/

They are the type of family I hope to have one day

I LOVE my in-laws and they LOVE me!  I fit in perfectly and I can’t wait to be officially a part of their family!  :)

I prefer my future in-laws to my own family :(   Most of them.  My sister and her immediate family is pretty awesome. Other than that, I prefer FI’s family.

I thoroughly enjoy my FILs….All of them (well he has an aunt I am not too crazy about but she doesn’t really count). I consider myself blessed with 2 amazing families. I wish everyone could have awesome In-Laws:)

I really like them…but they are loud and talk over each other, and CONSTANTLY interrupt, and it drives me CRAZY! They’re really nice, though, and they seem to really like me…the only one I can’t stand is my fiance’s Sister-In-Law (Bro’s wife)…she is  a big ol’ B word. Probably the biggest I’ve ever met…I have stories for days…

I love them.  So much.  I cannot tell you how great they are in words.

The FILs are perfectly nice people. They’re not the most exciting or witty, but I can’t complain about their treatment of me. However, FI has told me too many stories of how he was treated growing up and how douchy they can still sometimes be to him for me to be able to truly like them. Example, FIL’s are the second generation to go to their university in their respective families, and FI is the only child out of 6 to keep the tradition going. One would think that they would be proud and tickled over it, but no. Whenever the school comes up either in family stories or for sports talk, his dad inevitably comments how they must have relaxed their acceptance requirements for FI to have made it in.

I’ve met 4 of the 5 sibs and generally like most of them and their spouses. FSIL (the oldest) is the exception due to being overbearing and high-maintenance, but I’m better able to tolerate her over time.

Soo…I picked “polls” because my feelings for all of them don’t swing towards love or hate. More like meh to like.

I feel very lucky as well because I really like my future in-laws and they like me.  My fiance and I actually spend quite a bit of time hanging out with his parents (my mom lives on the East Coast, but his parents are here in Omaha)!  His two brothers live elsewhere (one in Kansas City and one in Phoenix), but I get along well with them and their significant others (one is married, one is engaged).  They’re a great group of people, and I feel like they’ve all really accepted me as one of the family (even his huge extended family!).

My fiance gets along really well with my family too, though we don’t see them as much since they live so far away.  My mom constantly tells me that she thinks he’s such a great guy and is so happy I’ve found someone who treats me so well.

Family is very important to my fiance and I, so we’re both excited and happy to join our families together next year!
