I want honest opinions. I like the bee for that because you get an unbiased opinion from people who don’t know you. Sometimes it’s really helpful to get feedback like that so you can put things into perspective outside of your circle.

I want honesty in my posts but I can tell sometimes what people want by their post.  If they say “Look at my dress isn’t it pretty?”, I know they just want validation.  But if they say “I can’t decide between two dresses, help!”, I know they are looking for honest opinions.

count one for honesty and varying opinions!

aside: i’m also too chicken sh!t to post anything personal or problematic. so, my vote, i think, doesn’t count.

Honesty. Sometimes I come here looking for advice because I need an unbiased opinion. And FWIW, I have often asked if I am overanalyzing something and when the bees say YES, I re-evaluate my situation and usually *try* to let whatever was bothering me go.

Thanks for keeping me sane bees! 🙂

@Belle2Be: Agreed! Also I think that some times I want an answer for stuff so I have an idea to gauge what my friends, or family, or FI wish they could say!

It depends on what I am asking. Sometimes my mind is made up and I am asking to make sure I am considering all factors. I like to think that someone would bring up a point that I have not considered. Other times, I don’t know what I want and I want other people’s opinions. I always want honesty. I never want people to lie to make me happy, but I don’t want people to be rude in their responses.

honesty. if i’m asking a question, it’s a real one like “is 2 bathrooms enough for 120 people?” not “do i look pretty or REALLY pretty in this?”

I want honest opinions! I always give honest responses but a lot of times I won’t post at all b/c I don’t feel like the OP wants honesty…

Ironically the only post I regret was the first post about my wedding dress, I think I actually “asked” for approval, which was stupid b/c I totally didn’t want “approval” I just wanted people to tell me they liked it. Afterwords I was kind of like…wait I LOVE my dress what do I care what these people think, why did I actually ask! LOL. Now when I post pictures of it, its more of a Hey look at my awesomeness if you tell me you don’t like it who cares! So on that one post no I wasn’t looking for honesty but I’ve changed my tune now! I only post when I actually NEED help now.
