I heard on the radio that 3/4 of people make their bed everyday (not sure how true this is but I thought it was interesting!). I fall into the 1/4 that doesn’t and now I’m curious about what other bees do!
My mom made me make my bed everyday growing and I fell out of that habit in college. Now the bed only gets made when we wash the sheets every week or if we are having a bunch of people over. Even when it is made we usually don’t put the decorative pillows on it (why did we even buy those?).
I justified this by saying that it’s just going to get unmade 16 hours later but then I realized that after I clean the living room it’s just going to get messy again soon anyways. So after that realization I did not really have a reason for why we don’t make the bed. The thought just doesn’t even cross my mind in the morning.
Do you make your bed everyday? Do you have decorative pillows and do those go on everyday? I’m very tidy outside of this. I hate clutter so it seems strange to me that I’m okay with an unmade bed.

Yep, every single day. I feel like if I don’t make it up, it will be an omen to my day, and it will go badly. I know it’s silly. LOL.
I have decorative pillows that go on everyday as well.

We make the bed every day, and have a few pillows we throw for decoration. My kids make their beds every day too, as well as they can, it’s not always perfect, as long as they try.

I don’t but my FI does. I leave for work before he gets up in the morning so it would be silly for me to make the bed while he’s still in it.

Nope. I pretty much only make it when I wash the sheets. SOMETIMES when I do a good cleaning of the room, I’ll make it to make the room look that much nicer.

Yes, well, my husband does while I’m in the shower.

I do! I was in the military and we used to do bed-making drills in boot camp. Ever since then, I’ve been a stickler for a made bed.

Always. Drives me nuts not to.

I don’t. I usually don’t wake up until the very last second anyway, so I don’t feel like wasting time making it. If I have people staying with me, I will make it and I make it when I put new sheets on it. But, other than that, it looks just like it does when I roll out of it.

For me it depends on if I’m running late. Though I find now being pregnant it’s my “excuse” to not make the bed lol, especially since I’m usually feeling like hell right after work and climbing back in ASAP.

Nope. Don’t see the point. Random people shouldn’t be going into my bedroom anyways so it’s not like I’m worried about guests seeing it.

We never make the bed unless we just washed the sheets. Our mornings are too busy to worry about it. We just have a comforter and 2 pillows on the bed, so it doesn’t look particularly messy when it’s not made.

yes, every day. i hate how messy an unmade bed looks and makes the entire bedroom look messy. also, at the end of the day, i feel better crawling into a made bed.
if it was up to my dh, he’d never make it. he doesn’t care.
i was raised to make my bed every day and kept with it. my dh didn’t have to growing up. my adult son still makes his bed everyday too. i guess it’s what you are used to.

I do! But if I leave the house while FI is still asleep, the bed won’t be made when I get home.

Okay, I’m going to sound really really weird, but we make our bed every night. Right before we get in it. I don’t mean we tuck everything in nicely and put all the pillows on or anything, but while I’m in the bathroom doing my routine (I always take longer than FI) he straightens all the sheets, pulls them up, and tucks in the bottom corners where we’ve inevitable kicked them out.
