I will wear just my wedding band around if I'm not planning on leaving the house, but I never wear just my engagement ring anymore, and I kinda miss seeing it alone!

Do any of you married girls miss having your engagement ring fly solo?

Hummm. I wear all three of my rings (he he, yep, I got two bands). Right now I have both bands on my left hand and my engagement ring on my right, so I get the best of both worlds.

And yes, I know I am a spoiled Princess.

Not at all, I love seeing both my rings together.   Now I think it would look weird if I only had my e-ring on :)

I lost my wedding ring so I'm stuck only wearing my engagement ring. I don't like it at all. The set is much better, and sometimes people ask me if I'm engaged, and I hate having to tell people that I lost my wedding ring!

It's pretty lame seeing my ering alone to be honest, especially after being married!

Nope. I think it looks so much better with its partner! I wore it alone for a little bit (okay, an hour) and it was dreadful!

If you like just the e-ring, though, go for it ... I think my mom did that sometimes.

I have two bands, too, and while I love the way they all look together, sometimes when I see a pic of me just wearing the engagement ring alone, I think it looks so pretty like that! I think I'll always wear them all together, but I totally know what you mean!

I never thought of that, powderpuff! I matched my wedding band to my engagement ring and right now, I just can't wait to wear the wedding band! If I want to see my engagement ring alone, I'll have to get it sized to wear on my right hand... but then it would be too big to wear together with the wedding band on the left hand... oy.

I feel like my hand looks empty without my band! Funny how quickly these things become a part of us :p First it was weird to have no e-ring on my finger (the 10 days mine was lost, I was just SO SO sad and felt like I lost a part of myself) and now, if it's just the e-ring, it still feels weird lol I LOVE them both together :)

Right now, I've been primarily wearing both the e-ring and the bad. I find though that every time I was my hands I take both off because I feel like I finger is still wet. I take off both and dry them. Yes, I know I am a weirdo. :)

Msswan, I do the same thing.  I share and office and my office mate thinks I am nuts because everytime I come back from the bathroom I take off all my rings and dry them and my finger (our bathroom sink area is too small for me to take them off when i wash) I just can't stand that feeling if I don't  dot it!

I may be the only one with this response but..here goes!

I don't like having two rings.  Even when I married my ex, it was a somewhat medium width band in plat and had solitaire in the middle and baguettes all the way around it.

I'm doing the same this time too.  I work in a field where i hate the feeling of more than one ring rolling around under a medical glove.  They allow us to have one ring btw.  So I'll have solitaire and have it be a medium width band.

Here's kinda what my old ring looked like:

Powderpuff, I feel the same way! My engagement ring is a gorgeous round solitaire in a high, four prong setting. It is soooo classic and beautiful. I got two wedding bands- round diamonds in a shared-prong eternity band setting. I love the whole set together, but sometimes I really, really miss that classic simple feel of my engagement ring.

I saw a picture of me wearing JUST my engagement ring and it looked so pretty. I even put just my engagement band on the other day and told my hubby that it brought back such fun memories of being engaged!!!

Of course, I love flashing around my wedded fingers, but I know what you mean! :)

I actually like my rings together, but there's something about just seeing my engagement ring by itself that makes me happy.  I think maybe seeing it by itself brings back all the warm/fuzzy feelings about being newly engaged.

I love seeing my rings together!  I can't take either of them off without a massive amount of effort.  I do squish them around and slide them apart to dry my finger underneath them though.  I didn't notice how wet my finger was for the first couple of weeks, but it's bugged me all week!

Omg how funny. As soon as my fiance got my wedding band he showed me, it looks the same as my e-ring ... just no big stone in the middle- its a platinum band with round stones all around.

Well I tried it on and I love it ... just not on the same finger as my e-ring. I will wear the wedding bandon my right hand ring finger!

I like them together, but can't deicde about them being soldered.  LIke PP I wear only my band if I'm just hanging around the house and I like that I have it on always (esp in case I forget the e-ring)...but when I wear them together...my wedding band slides around and gets off kilter...so I adjust it 10 times a day.

Anyway, at least for now I like wearing them together...and I'm hoping to double band it sometime in the near future.

I was just thinking about how odd I feel w/ 2 rings now. Mr Frenchie says he loves both my rings but that he love my E ring so much he thinks anything next to it is distracting. I tried wearing my e ring on my right hand and my wedding band on my left, but that felt funny too. Well, see how this pans out :)

I love seeing them all together (they're already soldered), but sometimes I wish that I could take the two bands off (I got two as well), plus it would be less heft on the finger.

My wedding band is a wrap that goes around my e-ring so my options are either none or only my e-ring... I wear it all :-)  LOVE IT! PLUS, because it's wider it makes my ring fit better (I wear a 4.5 so it's tough)

I only wear my engagement ring to work and when I go out. My wedding band never comes off. I knew that in advance so I made sure we got bands that we love. It is refreshing not to worry about that diamond all the time. I am so paranoid after the diamond fell out and got lost and had to be replaced!

i'm not married yet and i may be awful for saying this...but i can't WAIT to wear my wedding band with my e-ring.

my e-ring is amazing...it's a 1.9 ct, nearly flawless, super sparkley, round solitare...what's not to be amazing about it, right?
Do you miss wearing just your engagement ring? : wedding 3712646167 7a5ea38511 M

aside from it's size and clarity, it's not a very unique ring. classic? absolutely! but, unique, not so much. i haven't picked out my exact wedding band, but i definitely want it to be something that's not on half of the engaged population's left hand. i really hope i don't come across as ungrateful for saying that :-/ i really do love my ring and all it stands for...i just want it to reflect "me" a little more ;-)

I also miss my engagement ring alone :( My ring is beautiful, and putting something beside it actually takes away. I debated about even getting a wedding band, but I finally conformed. I wear both of them together, but some days I'm a rebel and just wear the E-ring!

This thread makes me feel a little better about the fact that I don't really want a wedding band. I've been torn about it - not wanting one to clash with my e-ring, not wanting two rings knocking against each other (can't be soldered to another), etc along with the feeling that i HAVE to have one, because that's what you do.

Now I feel better about not wanting one! Thanks ladies!

I also got two bands, but one of them is titanium and wood, so I don't wear it to work.  I love the endless combinations I can put together with my 3 rings!

I love my rings together, and each on their own.  I plan on mostly wearing them together, but sometimes I like to just have the wedding band on, as my engagement ring is set higher and gets caught on things.  I would never get them soldered together!

That being said, I'm still madly in love with my engagement ring :)

I have a plain band and a diamond band that go on either side of my ering. I don't like wearing my diamond rings nearly as much as I thought I would. For work I only wear the plain gold band, and 90% of the time that's the only one I wear, even when I could wear the others too. So I really don't miss just wearing my ering. I almost wish we wouldn't have spent the money on the matching diamond wedding band. (Almost because when they are all together they sparkly so nicely, I don't think I could bear to give it up now!) :)

I have a ring wrap for my wedding ring, so I no longer think of my rings as two anymore.  They are one ring to me. For me, it would feel weird just to have my e ring on.
