The videographer that I am thinking of hiring only shows a short (5-10 second each) clip of the Bride/Groom Dance and the Father/Daughter dance. There is another videographer that I don’t like quite as well, but they provide full footage of the dances…what do you think? Do I need full footaage of the dances? For any married women…do you ever watch the full dance or do you fast-forward?
Thanks so much in advance…I’m really struggling with this decision!

We’re getting someone to do videography. It’s a “friendor” (friend/vendor) so we haven’t talked about a lot of specifics, but I KNOW we’re getting more than the first 5-10 seconds. Honestly, that sounds like a rip off :/

There’s a big difference between only shooting 5-10 seconds of your dances and only seeing 5-10 seconds of your dances. Short clips in your video are nice if you can have it in full some other way. Will they be shooting the whole dances and just putting the best bits into your video? I would also ask if it’s possible to have those dances in raw footage, bonus materials or something if it’s bothering you. It may cost you more, but they should be able to give you something. If they only shoot 5-10 seconds of those moments, find someone else. That’s just plain lazy for someone hired to video your wedding.
