Have any of you bees heard of the pencil test? Supposedly it’s a test to determine whether a woman can go braless in public. To test whether or not you pass/fail, you lift a breast, place a pencil underneath, and let go. If the pencil drops to the floor, evidently it’s appropriate for you to go braless. If the pencil is held in place by your breast, you should wear a bra.
I have no idea where I heard about this, but I definitely fail. Let me tell you, I fail the TV remote test!!!
How about you bees?

@EmieBee4: NEVER heard of it, but I know without trying I will not pass. I am a 36 DD.

I pass, but don’t go braless anyway

@EmieBee4: I definitely pass, but find it interesting as I’m a 34D. Maybe I just have strangely perky boobs? funny test though! I’ll have to ask my friends to do it and see what they say:)

I pass with flying colors. I don’t have enough boobage to like, fold the boob over the pencil.
Small boob club!

30E/F and still passed with flying colours. :-p
That said, I don’t go braless in public unless wearing a dress with support built in.

@EmieBee4: Never heard of it. Actually, as an owner of teeny boobs I think it is ridiculous! (32A over here, I don’t even have to try to know I’d pass.)
Here’s why: Small boobs are pointy. If I go braless, everyone can see my nipples very clearly. Uh, I think I’ll wear a bra.

I don’t even have to do this because I know I would pass. Yay, tiny boobs! lol

@Fizzy8: YES. I have small boobs with absolutely zero sag, but I can’t go braless. They have a weird shape!

I know I would fail like crazy. 34 E… I can still go braless in something really structured, though. I have a few dresses which have enough boning to hold the girls up.

I had no idea this was a thing. It’s pretty bad if FI knew what a pencil test was and I didn’t. LOL

32F, one pass and one fail, the left one failed! I still go braless plenty, especially in the summer. I love susana monaco dresses because they are double lined in the chest and stretchy so they offer a fair amount of support. i wouldn’t go braless in a t-shirt, but a reasonably structured dress, hell yes!

@Fizzy8: Yes! It’s a shape thing. And a … jiggly thing. I always wear a bra unless s top has a built in bra or support

@EmieBee4: lol… Remote Test. totally pass!

I am a 36 DDD…I will never pass this test. I have smuggled bottles of Diet Coke into movie theaters in my bra, so…
