Lol. No. You’re so nervous that day you’ll probably forget what you practice anyway.

@Rubbs:  It’s exactly like you said, we practiced, but it ended up just being what it was, which was totally fine! 🙂

i am going to try to get FI to practice (shouldnt be difficult lol) because there was a recent thread on here from a photographer advising that couples hold the kiss for several seconds to like, half a minute so that the photog can get a good solid picture. and that the couple should ask in advance for the officiant to step out from behind them so as not to photobomb! i def want to plan the kiss for those two reasons.

I think the day before we “practiced” but we were really just fooling around.  So no, not really.  We’ve had PLENTY of practice over the years, ha ha!

The only awkward kiss I’ve seen is that the bride and groom almost forgot to kiss! They started walking down the aisle and stopped and realized they forgot, so they kissed then.

Haha we practiced this yesterday! I read the thread from the photo too, we decided we’d do ‘Kiss, two, three’, pull away, and FI decided he wants to sneak in another quick peck after. so cute!

The only awkward kiss i’ve seen was when it was literally 0.2 seconds and the photographer didn’t catch it so he had to tell them to kiss again and it was kinda awkward.

i think as long as you don’t fully make out and put your tongues down each others throat then you’re good!

@Missy_Star:  Haha good thing the photographer wasn’t afraid to speak up!

We practiced ours the day before the wedding and I’m very happy we did 🙂 It was more about practicing the embrace than the actual kiss (e.g. where would our arms go?)

We def practiced.  We’re pretty awkward…lol.  I think the kiss came out quite lovely.  Not a pro-photo 🙂

At our engagement pictures on Friday, our photographer taught us how to kiss – he said a good photographed kiss isn’t as puckery as normal, and apparently FI and I are MAJOR pucker-ers. So – yeah, we’ll practice a bit. Granted, we’re not doing it ALL for photos, but…you know, I want it to look nice.

haha, nope we didn’t practice and it turned out fine. i feel like since we did a first look and took a lot of pics beforehand (with our wedding party there), by the time it was time to kiss for the ceremony it wasn’t awkward to kiss in front of people

We didn’t practice and I think it would have looked a lot better if we did.  So yes, I advise brides and grooms to practice.
