There are many stores, malls, companies local to me opening this year at 6pm or earlier tomorrow. (Thanksgiving) I have very strong opinions on this. I’d like to know other bees feelings on this, and get a general consensus on whether or not the majority plan to shop or not.

I wasn’t planning on shopping because I don’t agree with retail workers having to work on thanksgiving.
But my mom was going to go and I wouldn’t really feel safe her out in those sorts of crowds alone, so I guess I’m going anyway.

NOPE! You couldn’t pay me to.

nope. I used to work retail. I will never shop on Thanksgiving.

No, I won’t be. It’s pretty messed up.

I have no sentimental connection to thanksgiving so I might go if I can be bothered…but most likely not.

Never. As a nurse I used to have to work holidays and it made me so sad to miss out spending time with my family that I would never willingly contribute to an event that would cause other people to miss out on a holiday

I voted not sure. If I do go out, it’ll be after dinnertime– I won’t be staying out late or waking up early!

If we shut down for every single holiday in the world, very little would get done. I’m hoping to get some shopping done, as I wasn’t feeling up to it other times when I had planned to.

I won’t be but not because thanksgiving is a huge holiday for me (it isn’t). I cannot stand huge crowds and lines. I don’t need any of the big things to go out there like electronics. I will shop online, though.

NO NO NO. I worked retail for 8 years, and I will never shop on Thanksgiving or Black Friday. Luckily the company I worked for refused to open on Thanksgiving.

MUAbride2be: I have strong feelings that people who have strong feelings on an issue should state them, not press GO! and expect the other Bees to debate their issue.

I’m excited! I made a list and mapped it all out: Best Buy at 5pm, Walmart at 6pm, Ulta at 8pm- maybe stop by Target.

Nope, but only cause I don’t care to be in crowds fighting over crap to save practically nothing.

No way. I don’t feel like dealing with traffic and huge crowds of assholes. Between now and Christmas, the only shopping I do in actual stores is for groceries. Anything else gets bought online.
