I actually do read the bios, the real budgets all that good stuff on the front page. I know I've sent out some pms to brides whose bios I really liked. I also look at the galleries and read most, actually all the blog posts. If only my boss knew what a time waster WB is for me :(
No i havent even done one! I spend most of my time on WB on the boards once and a while I look at the DIY & Gallery
Never looked at them. I only scan through the blogs that are on the first page of weddingbee. I love all of the wedding related boards though!
I used to read the bios a lot, but lately I haven't been as much because I feel like they're being used more as extended galleries or board posts with people posting one photo or asking for opinions on things. But for the bios, I really like them because you get a feel for people's personalities and a better idea of their weddings. I found the budgets and inspiration boards really helpful. I've posted a few things to my own bio as well.
I just went to the bios for the first time. I don't understand them... how are they different from these boards? Are the boards more for questions and the bios just for statements? (sorry for deviating from the original question...)
@BlueChampagne: From what I understand, the bios are similar to blog posts by non-bees. You can post extensive information and photos about yourself and your wedding, including budget breakdowns, how you met, how you know your wedding party, etc. When you view your bio, you can see it all together as well.
Your bio is kind of a personal "about you" page. There was always discussion that it was hard to get to know everyone on the boards just by their posts so its a way to see all someone's details in one place.
If you click on my name, then at the top click on "bios" you will see all of my bio posts in one place.
I love reading through them to try to get to know everyone better!
@caszos Aww I officially get the point. Thanks for the help. I had never really looked at them. To be honest I think that is the one part WB that I haven't used. I guess I might have to find some free time and create my own.
Wow i never even knew thats what the bios were for!! I had seen people only posting one photo and so that is what I did for mine. I think I may have to update and/or start reading them. As of right now I dont read the bios and I rarely look at the gallery. I mostly comment on the boards and read the blogs.
I havent done my bio either! XD I guess I just dont really care about being well known :) I'm kinda shy anyways - I leave the detailed stuff to the BlogginBees <3
I read them occasionally, I'm always pleased to read ones that are extensively filled out (unlike mine).
I must admit that I don't. I think it's because I never really got to filling mine out.
i used to try to read them more for bees i wanted to know more about from the boards, but so many people don't have them that at some point i stopped clicking through to look for them. i used to read the blog religiously, but the more active i've become on the boards, the less attention i've been paying to the blog.
Haha I wonder if this is going to get more people to check out the bios section... I never did before this post and now that I've been reading through them I kinda want to fill some out!
