We are going to have one! People seem to get really excited about them & they can take memories home with them. Our wedding is in the evening at our church with an appetizer only reception

We’re doing a Photobooth, but I’m in Canada so that probably doesn’t help lol

We were at a wedding on Saturday that had a photo booth and it was SO much fun!  It made us decide to have a photo booth at our wedding – we’re mailing in the contract today 🙂

YES!!!!! We were gifted one off of groupon.. best decision ever. 😀 I love ALL the pictures..

We got copies, everyone loved the photobooth. The people were amazing..

I don’t know why I put photos.. I just love them so much.. but I’m sure you know what it looks like.

We got 3 hours (ended at 10), they opened right after cocktai hourl ended (this was a bad decision)… we had our entrance, dinner was being served. But trust me after this it was WELL used. My parents never got in because there was always a line. We had about 150 people. My nephew used it the most (he’s 10) My husbands aunt who is 80ish got a few photos also.

Since someone else did I want to also.. 😀

These are scans from the pictures.

It was a HUGE hit at our wedding. Guests of all ages loved it and we have the best guestbook as a result. I do think it may have detracted from the dance floor, but then again, I had a smaller wedding (90-100) that was largely family… I didn’t have a ton of younger friends there (since it was held across the country from where I live), so that may have impacted the dancing as well.

I had small chalkboards that guests could use to write messages and include in photos… it came out really well.

How many guests are you having at your wedding? I think we only had the photobooth for 2 hours and that we long enough for the amount of people that we had. However, I’m sure it would have stayed busy if it was open longer (there was always a small line). Many of our guests went in the booth more than once though.

We had it open after dinner and the special dances had finished.

ETA: Here’s a few from our wedding (the pb people cut these photos in half – the guests kept the left side and the right side went into our guest book)!

I’ve been to 2 weddings with photobooths and I loved them. Both weddings had it as their guest book. We took a copy of the printed pictures, cut them up, glued them in a book and wrote a message. Each wedding had seperate favors, but I think photobooth pictures are a good enough favor. I know I still look at those photos way more than I utilize the other favors.

If we weren’t on the dance floor, we were in the photobooth (or, to be honest, at the bar), so you might want to open it up for business around the same time as dancing once the formally organized events have passed. Although, the weddings I went to had the booths open the whole time and everyone still participated in the cake/slideshow/first dance/etc)

@julyweddinglovebirds:  We did the 2 hours to save on costs as well… my parents were not into the photobooth idea at all beforehand, though afterwards my mom said it was the best money we spent!!! I was lucky in that the pb people set it up early in the day, before the wedding even started and just showed up to run it for the two hour window. The DJ announced when it was opening/closing. I don’t think it was really disruptive at all, other than that it may have kept some people from the dance floor. They loved it though!

Your reception is a little longer than mine, so maybe do it for 3 hours, from 8:30-11:30 or 8:00-11:00?
