So Im considering whether I want to wear my hair up or down..I like it both ways but I'm worried with the veil application/removal dancing, hugging , that an updo will be too high maintenance..what do you think?

Honestly, I just don't look like the same person with my hair up. I'm a hair down bride, and I'm ok with that!

I have been debating the same thing.  I know updos are more formal/elegant/insert adjective here, but whenever I take pictures with my hair up I hate it.  Granted, those pictures have predominately been regular old ponytails, but I do not want to look back and hate my wedding photos.

I'm doing half up, half down because having all my hair down will drive me nuts but my FI loves me to wear my hair down.  I think it's a good compromise and I usually look pretty good that way :)

I had the same debate! In fact, I did a hair consultation with my hair up and down, but I ultimately decided to wear my hair down. I wear my hair down almost every day, and I wanted to feel like "me". I am SO glad I wore my hair down... it turned out beautiful and I wouldn't have loved it if it was any other way!

I'm a hair down bride!  I never wear my hair up in public--I want to stick with a more natural look on our big day.

I am a sweaty bride and my hair will definitely be more high maintenance if it is down! When it is up I don't even have to think about it! So I am definitely wearing it up!

I'm wearing mine up so that it is more formal and out of my face. Plus, my hair doesn't hold curl very well and I don't want it to fall out and look scraggly by the end of the night. Plus, my FI loves my hair up so up it is :)

I am going to do my hair/make-up trial when we do our part 2 of engagement pics (we did a 1/2 session in December - and will do a second 1/2 session in the spring), and then once we get the pics back I will know what to expect!

@krissy I'm not 100% but I'm thinking I'll be right there with ya...I can't decide and I usually wear it down in public but I also am nervous of sweat/the veils/etc

Up for me!  I wear mine down every day, but I didn't want to have to worry about it falling flat or getting pulled while hugging people.  After my trial, I slept on mine and it looked great the next day, so I figure if I can sleep on it, it will hold.

I wore mine up and I was so glad that I did.  My best friend had hers half up half down and when she got her pictures back she wan't thrilled with how the style had photographed.  You can run into the age old school picture problem when you wear your hair down...Should it be behind both shoulders?  Half in front, half in the back?

It's easier to have it up and out of the way so that you don't have to worry about it while you're dancing, socializing, etc.

My hair will not hold a curl... period.  I had my hair done with large curls for our engagement photos... and they lasted until the end of the photo session.  I am going to wear my hair up so I don't have to deal with deflated curls.  I want my hair to look the same at the end as it did at the beginning.

I ENVY those who can have beautiful curls all day..:(
