I was on another thread and we were talking about what our FI's said to us when we had firs met. Do you remember? If so, share with the hive!
my FI said:
Vous êtes très joli. Dormirez-vous avec moi s'il vous plaît ? (You're very pretty? Will you sleep with me please?)
Don't worry...he was joking. lol.
Haha, besides the whole "Do you like Star Wars?" comment from the last post, I have to add. I met my FI working at a movie theater my senior year of HS, and he was my supervisor. On my first day working at the theater (and the first day I met him), he had us march up to the roof of the theater to throw a stereo off of the roof into the street. I always tell him he's lucky I met him when I was 17 and thought that was cool haha.

We meet online LOL the first message he sent me was "I like your nose stud" LOL

Who knows haha, I really have no explanation. We were fired two months later for dating anyway lol. It was one the best jobs I have ever had though, we watched free movies all night long, and ate all the popcorn.
I know all about free movies. 2 of my friends work at regal. lol.
To this day our absolutely favorite thing to do together is go to the movies, its just stuck with us.
Mine was boring.. he just said hi and then shook my hand... But we had a 4hr convo the next day.. longest coffee, cake tea... brunch ever. :)
I reckon. I actually think thats the most he spoke to me all night... I got a text message from him the next morning because after I had left were we were he had quizzed my friends as he didnt want to make a fool of himself and one of them gave out my number! I was going to say no.. I have no idea what made me say yes to coffee.
We met when we were thirteen at his baseball game. I was with some friends that knew him and he came up to us and asked if I wanted a coke :)
He said Hi and he told me that he remembered me from church functions. I told him that I didn't remember him. lol
But I remembered him later. Funny thing was that he has always lived down the street from my grandpa.

It went a little something like this:
"BWAAAAAAAAAARGH!"
I responded as such:
"AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!!!"
That's because we met at a Halloween party in high school. I was on the hayride...he ran out of the darkness and leaped upon it. He remembered me because I was the only one who screamed.
Ah, love at first holler...
I totally wish I could remember. He was a new hire at work and at that point I had already established my role as the zany, cute one. But we didn't start dating til more than a year after that so there were lots of inane work conversations before then...
Our first conversation:
“Hi, I’m Brian.”, said he.
“I’m Kathleen, what can I get you?”
“Coffee.” He responded. “With lots of cream and sugar.”
“Okay, I’ll be right back."

I don't remember his exact first words, but he was in my weekend businessman English class and the first moment I really 'noticed' him was at the end of class. I told the students I was going to see the new Harry Potter movie (Goblet of Fire), and a few members of Radiohead had cameos, so I was uber excited about the movie as a combo fav book+fav band. My first memory of his face is the look of excitement on his face when he realized we loved the same band and started asking me about my fav. music.
We met through a Steelers meetup group when he sent around an email asking everyone about getting together for a preseason game. I replied back, and a 2 wk string ensued. For our 1 yr anniversary, he forwarded the entire conversation to me, so I actually have the play-by-play=)
Hmm.. We met at an Army ROTC meeting, so I imagine our first words were something like this :
Him: " Hi, I'm Cadet Bell."
Me: "I'm Michelle."
Him: "I'm going to show you how to tie a swiss seat in under 90 seconds."
Haha! He was a senior, so he was helping run the rapelling and one rope bridge stations. Cool!
Haha...well, we met at the campus bar. He was VP of the Engineering Society and was running a pubcrawl. I was bartending, passing out shots of Jager and Fireball to the Engineers as they came through the doors. Our first conversation went exactly like this:
HIM: Can I have another shot?
ME: NOPE!
HIM: But I'm running this pubcrawl!
ME: I don't care! Boss said 1 person, 1 shot.
He came back later and took the whole bottle of Fireball from me. (It is important to note that he was also wearing a pirate hat.)
I don't exactly remember. The first time we met, he was with a bunch of his friends and they were calling him Franklin. I totally thought they were kidding and I was confused what the guy's name was. haha I learned later from a friend that his name wasFranklin, but most people call him Frank.
I met him a few months later at a bar and two of my girlfriends set it up so we would end up sitting at a table together. That happened, they slipped away, we talked for 3 hours that night and shut the bar down. Can't remember exactly what the first thing he said to me was probably because I was nervous and had a couple margaritas in me!
He said, "nice boots!"
Although I thought he said, "nice boobs".
It was a good conversation starter =]
We were at an early Halloween party- he was optimus prime and I was a "bear" (and by bear I mean the definition of a bear costume according to the movie Mean Girls). He walked up to me at the bar and said "Hello, kitty!" To which I replied "I'm a beaaaaar!" Check my bio for a picture :D

I was in a bar, cornered by some creepster old guy who insisted on talking to me while my friends pointed and laughed (typical, lol). FI came over, put his arm around me and said "There you are honey! I've been looking all over for you!" I'm just glad he found me!
gosh i can't remember!! i was 15, probably something really dorky. ;)
I think he asked for a ride home from work. That's the first I remember of him, but we didn't start dating for almost 6-7 months after that, I didn't even really know who he was, I was just being nice.
We met online, so I don't remember the first thing he typed at me, or even the first thing that he said on the phone.
But I do remember the first thing he said when we met in person:
"I don't even care if it's awkward, I'm going to hug you anyway."
And here we are :)
I think he mumbled something like "Hey, what's up?"
I met him through two male friends of mine who brought him along to another friend's party. I was busy in the kitchen making a giant batch of blueberry mojitos and barely paid him any attention. I think I said, "Nice to meet you" and then went back to the juicer.
We met at a friend's pumpkin carving party. I'm pretty sure the first thing he said was "here, do a shot of crowne royal." lol.
It had to have been something along the lines of "You good?"
We knew each other at work for about a year before we first went out. He drove our company truck to our other 4 locations and had to come up every day to ask if we (advertising department) had anything that needed to go. So he always said "You good?" because I usually didn't have anything, and he now tells me he knew that, but just wanted to ask me anyway :)
It's amazing how many bees didn't really pay attention to their FI's at first! Anyone remember what really got you to notice them?
he was a good looking hottie! plus he was really polite! I like polite people :)
Ugh I'm so sad that I don't know!! FI and I met on match.com so our first emails were through their website.... and neither of us can really remember what was said. Once we both got off the site the emails were gone :(
He messaged me first though... probably just the usual hey how are ya type stuff. I do remember that for the first few months (even after we met and started dating) he would always sign his emails with a random movie quote and make me guess what it was haha... he's a dork :)
We were on a really loud dance floor, but from what he and I both remember, he came up to me and said "I really like your look" (He was refering to my glasses and cuffed jeans with heels). And I replied to him, "I really like JoePa (he was wearing a Penn State hat). And then he bought my friend and I a drink and we talked the rest of the night.
@His Barista - yep! There was a definite "click" moment in my head, where he went from "some random guy" to "that hot guy in my class" - I think it was when we were 13, and we got into this really intense debate over whether Agatha Christie or John Grisham was the better author. (We were cool, shut up!) From that point on, he teased me about a lot, but it was always in a really cute, respectful way.
Our story is kind of lame... what am I supposed to say, middle school sweethearts? Haha.
First thing my SO said to me was...
"Bye Beautiful.."
I was standing in a Denny's talking to two guys, flirting what have you. I was there w/ my bestfriend and her boyfriend was meeting her there before going off to the casino with his boys. I didn't really want to go stand out there when they made googly eyes at each other. So I struck up a conversation with a cute guy sitting at the booth behind me. (1am pancakes anyone?) Well I guess my BF's boyfriend's BF. Got that? Her man's BF saw me inside and asked who I was. So he walked in and said "Bye Beautiful" when they were leaving. The guy who I was flirting w/ asked me if that was my boyfriend. I told him I had no clue who he was. I didn't have my contacts in or glasses on. So all I saw of him was a blurry shape. Talk about Mystery! So I made it a point to meet him for reals next time I hung out w/ my BF and her boyfriend.
