I would send a thank you note to those that bring gifts. Thank you notes are usually for gifts, not attendance.
Yep I only did them for the hosts and those that gave gifts which was my mom.
We sent thank yous for gifts, and I wrote them for my fam and he wrote them for his.
You always send thank you cards. Whether it be for a birthday present or an engagement present. But as everyone else stated, only for those who brought gifts.

My future inlaws gave us money to have a engagement party, so even though they "hosted" it, we planned the whole thing, made invites, etc etc etc. Its tomorrow! :) Should we send thank you notes to those that came afterwards?? Its a small dinner, about 50 people, nothing big.
