One of the big surprises of my life was discovering that girls don't shower every day!
They look so clean... but sometimes they skip a day. Or more.
But not you... right???

I'll admit - I don't always shower every day! But I don't skip more than one or two showers a week. Generally, I will skip showering on days where I haven't really done much and my hair doesn't need to be washed. I never skip more than one day at a time, though!!
FI showers pretty much every day, but sometimes he skips days too. He tends to stop smelling so pretty if he skips a day, though, so I encourage daily showering.

I have to shower every day, unless I've got the stomach flu or something and just can't get out of bed! Otherwise, I just feel gross. If it's a summer day, I usually shower twice!
@Magenta - Yes but boys are made of frogs and snails and puppy dog tails. Girls are made of sugar and spice and everything that's nice.
Hence my surprise.
Oh, hubby is OCD about showering!! He showers twice a day! EVERY day. Once when he gets up in the am & before he goes to bed, whether he really needs it or not! He can't sleep if he doesn't, he says he feels gross LOL.
I'll skip a day here and there, especially on a weekend if I'm not going out.
I can't stand not showering. My SO usually does everyday too, but I think he would so go every other day if he could get away with it.
I turn into the ugly duckling overnight, so showering daily is a must. Plus, the husband and I hit the YMCA every weekday morning for a work out before work, so we shower there before we get to work...I can only imagine the shock and awe if I showed up to work with greasy hair and sweaty arm pits...the old men would have heart attacks. Ha!
I shower EVERY day unless I am very sick...I just don't feel "clean" or "ready for my day" if I don't. I have sometimes (on days off of work) gone shopping or around town without showering and feel in a daze!
My FH showers everyday...usually! I can tell when he doesn't because his hair (white is light brown) looks a bit darker and he doesn't have his soapy scent! He is a pretty well kept boy tho :)
I *wish* my hair would look good without a daily shower...unfortunatly, it looks so blah to me and I feel all...greesy, even if I don't look it :X I need my soapy shower and shave ;)
I don't shower every day, more like 4-5 times a week, mainly because I'm not supposed to wash my hair every day (it gets super dry.)
The days I don't shower, I take a nice relaxing bubble bath. :)
I think that it's much more common for girls to not wash their HAIR every day, rather than not shower every day, Mr. Bee. Don't get me wrong though, there's always a day here or there when you lounge around in sweats and don't bother to bathe! :) Although, when my SO showers on a lazy day, I kinda feel like I have to too so I'm not the yucky one. Haha!
I shower about every other day. FI normally showers everyday, but will miss a day here or there. He is a mechanic though, so he gets pretty dirty!
I am not going to lie - I shower every other day! My hair is horrible if I shower everyday!
I voted on "every day," but there has been a day here or there when I've woken up with AWESOME hair and couldn't bring myself to shower it away (very rare...usually it looks crazy in the AM).
Other than that, FI and I both shower every day. My mom keeps telling me to skip every other day to keep my hair/skin youthful, so maybe that mindset keeps some girls from washing every day?
I shower almost every day but there might be one morning on the weekdays that I just dont have time to shower because I wake up late or I might just be too lazy on a Sunday. But for the most part I shower every day! Sometimes twice a day if I am working out
If I absolutely don't leave the house, I don't bother showering. But every other day I definintely do! My hair is so fine that it looks greasy if I don't.
I shower most days -- and absolutely on days when I work out. Some days (especially on the weekend) I get lazy though. ...and I only ever wash my hair every other day. Every day is too much, every 3 days and my hair gets too greasy. When I don't wash my hair I just tilt the shower so that it doesn't hit my hair. I still get a complete shower, just without the shampooing.
I shower every other day unless I'm really active.. then more.
SO showers every morning to wake up. Sometimes on a lazy weekend he'll bypass it though
Every day--usually the evening--though I do get regularly lazy and wait a night or morning longer than I would normally. It is nice to get the natural oils working on my hair and skin. But I absolutely have to wash my face every morning and evening.
My SO showers twice a day. He's clean. :P
I definitely don't shower every day and not even really every other day for the most part. There's no way my hair could take being showered that often and if it gets wet and not conditioned it sucks to brush out. Fortunately I really don't sweat much. Some days I'll really want to shower but my hair will poof if I do so I'll tie it up and try and keep it dry. That's such a pain though I don't do it very often.
And really, who am I kidding? I'm also kind of lazy. My husband showers every work day because it helps him wake up but if we're just bumming around the house he tends to skip it too.
Oh, and Mr. Bee, that was fantastic. I wanted to vote "grody to the max" just because.
I shower every day...I didn't know that there were women who didn't so this thread is a surprise to me. I don't shave my legs every day...especially in the winter but skipping a shower is not an option. I may not really BE dirty but I FEEL dirty if I don't. Plus I can't imagine sliding between my nice apple, mango, tangoed sheets without being freshly showered.
I can't start my day until I get a shower. Sometimes my FI doesn't shower for a whole weekend! I usually tease him all Sunday and then he jumps in in the evening.
Every. single. day! I can't start my day without showering... even with everything I'm going through I find that a nice hot shower just makes me a little more "ready" to tackle my day!
Also, I'm a brunette & if I didn't shower every day I'm sure I'd look like a yucky, greasy mess! Blah!!
Ug. We have a mold problem, "great" Northwest, and our shower creeps me out because of that. Every other day is the most often you can get me in there. I am, however, obsessed about my feet being clean so I wash them in the sink often.
haha my FH was shocked, too when he found out that I skip a day occasionally.
Now, that I have been working out more (to rock my dress), I shower after every work out.
its summer down here and we're having heatwaves so i often have 2 showers per day as its really nice to hop into bed nice, fresh and smelling of soap
but... i admit to not washing my hair every day
I have to shower every morning. lol. It helps me wake up!!! FI probably goes every other day, though he's getting better.
I shower everyday, and the FI sometimes showers twice a day... we both shower in the morning, and then sometimes he showers in the evening just for the heck of it, or after working out. When you are in a LDR, ya gotta find something to do. :P
We both shower everyday unless it's a weekend day where we are staying in and bummin' around the house, then we usually skip the shower. Otherwise, we both work in fields where we come into contact with lots of germs and stuff, so we like our daily showers to wash away all the germs. :)

I shower every day. No way around it, my greasy hair lets me know in no time. I know from my experiences backpacking in the Appalachians as well as camping in the African bush.
FI doesn't normally shower unless he has sweated a lot from exercise, so I suppose that balances out to about every other day. I'm enough of an environmentalist that I'm completely cool with that.
Wait though, seriously, GIRLS don't shower every day??!
My dad used to shower twice a day and always told us kids we were dirty or gross for not showering everyday. However, we played sports every day after school so yeah, we did shower!
Now, I do not wash my hair every day (even if i work out--that's a ponytail day next morning) but I shower most days. I only don't shower if I didn't work out or if I didn't go out to eat and don't smell like food. So I probably shower 5-6 times a week. If I don't work out Satudray AM and don't plan on going anywhere, there's a strong likelihood i'll be in my pj's all day =] But, seeing as how I sit at a desk all day where it's very cool and I don't sweat, I'm not exactly getting grimy and gross all day. When I waited tables, well, that was a different story. I needed to wash the smell of cheeseburgers and fat off me!
I definitely don't wash my hair everyday, so sometimes I will skip a shower in the mornings when my hair doesn't need a wash if I smell oh fresh & so clean! :) It is a suprise - my local radio station just did a show where they were talking about what women did to stay looking good that men didn't know about, not even their husbands! I won't get into details :) But some even suprised me!!
One of the few things I can think about is that a lot of women, and this is no suprise, don't shave during winter. Some go MONTHS! Which, there's nothing wrong with...but I can only go a few weeks :)
If I am on a working out kick, tanning, going to the pool, or doing other things that could affect my body, I shower every day. However, if I'm just going to work/school, I shower every other day. My hair is super thick and if I wash it everyday it gets dry and gross. My FI showers every. day. He can't even leave the house unless he gets a shower!
I probably average 5 times a week to be honest, but I have no consistency. If I go to the gym during the week I shower. If I have not gone to the gym I might skip a day. My hair doesn't do well being washed every day. I am a pretty regular shower taker though! I also shower more like everyday in the summer.
If I don't have to leave the house, I won't shower, but that happens so rarely! My hair gets oily really fast so if I don't shower every morning you can definitely tell. Maybe when it gets long again I'll be able to just pull it back, but until then I'm in the shower every morning.
My fiance showers every single morning. On days when he goes to the gym (M-F), he also showers after the gym. I shower once a day but only wash my hair every other day. On non-hair-wash days, I just rinse it and spray it with a leave-in conditioner.
I'm going to put it out there that I definitely don't shower every day. I shower 5-6 times per week. My hair often looks better on the second day and it's also easier to straighten. If I do shower every day, I don't wash my hair every time. My hair gets very frizzy if it's washed that frequently. And honestly, if I haven't done anything to "get dirty" I think it's a waste of water.
