As a couple. DH isn't always terrible observant, so he never thinks to look for the guestbook, nevermind sign it!
Whew! Though my mother never instructed me on that one when I was younger (that I remember), I was pretty sure my instincts were right on that one.
It also means I don't need a line for every guest in my guest book. :)
As a couple! You give one gift and sign it from the both of you right?
oh I always sign it as a couple. I know my FI would never even think to sign anything if I don't write his name down for him
I sign it as a couple because I doubt my FI would ever go to the table to sign.
I always sign for both of us, though sometimes if it's one where you're expected to write an actual message and DH is nearby we'll do like we do on most greeting cards. "Hope your birthday is absolutely fantastic, Love Saphiresun and" and then he writes just his own name.
We sign together on the same line, but I write my name and he writes his! Is that weird? Maybe once we're married I will do all the writing and put MyName and HisName OurLastName.

When we go to weddings, I usually sign the guest book for both of us (two names on one line). At a recent wedding, a colleauge was in front of me in line and she signed on one line and her husband signed on another.
We attended as a couple and I assumed it was standard to sign the book as a couple.
How do you sign guest books?
