last night i had my first wedding nightmare!!! here is what happened:

the church i'm getting married in had hosted a play the night before, so the altar had turned into this big wreck of a stage with props everywhere and everything. i tripped on my way down the aisle. during the ceremony, people were talking SO loud. so much so that the priest got too distracted and right before he was supposed to ask for our "i do's" he said "do we really need to do that part? lets skip that" and left. THEN a clown was hovering OVER my head and was asking me why i was crying (i think this part stemmed from my ridiculous fear of clowns). after the ceremony we didn't go to the reception, instead my fiance asked if i wanted to just sit and drink in the bar (yes apparently this dream church had a bar inside).

    it was terrible.

That was terrible dream... especially the clown part!

I've had one or two a while back and at the time they seemed remarkable but I don't remember them now.  I haven't had one recently but I'm pretty sure I'll have at least one more before the big day.  You should write that one down... I wish I had so I could remember it now.

I had a nightmare that I was late!  I couldn't find my florist, my gown and the limo!  Ughhh!  It was terrible.  I am constantly late so this freaked me out because it can actually happen LOL!

I have general anxiety dreams all the time about the wedding although they aren't specific to any problem I am actually having!  Like, last night, I was watching an episode of 18 kids and counting where the Duggars were having a vow renewal.  It was a combo 18 kids and Say Yes to the Dress....well then I had an anixety dream about modest wedding gowns even though that is not an issue in my life right now!

I've had one wedding-related dream.  I was at the chapel and we got there late, I was so focused on getting my bridesmaids dressed that I didn't worry about myself.  So, we sent them down that aisle and as that happened, I decided to start getting dressed and put on my make up and do my hair.  I couldn't find my shoes and accused my parent's of hiding them because they hated them and eventually wore some kind of silver nike slip on flats.

Once I got ready, and I didn't look good . . . I turned to my parent's and asked them if they thought everyone would still be there, to which my mom replied "well, they've been waiting over 20 minutes, what do you think?"  I hurried up and finished what I needed to do, the doors opened to the chapel and my dad and I started walking down it.

As I was walking, and everyone was looking, I saw that my bridesmaids were wearing sage green stain dresses and the flowers were incredibly different than my florist and I ever discussed.  When I got to the end of the aisle, my fiance was not there . . . apparently he got sick of waiting and decided to go sit down somewhere.  And then I woke up.

Not a nightmare but really weird.  Especially considering that I am not getting married in a chapel, my bridesmaid are wearing gray chiffon dresses and the flowers are definitely different than what I saw in my dream.

I hate wedding dreams but what I hate more is laying in bed thinking of all the things i have to do for the wedding! Haha then I finally fall asleep and I dream that something didn't get done and there isnt any time to fix it. Yes, I am a control freak

I'm glad I'm not the only one! A few nights ago I had one where all kinds of things were going wrong and my mom changed things at the last minute without running them by me at all (Can't remember specifics). And my beautiful purple cake arrived and was solid white. Then after everything was done, we were cleaning up and I realized the photographer never showed up (which I'm pretty sure I should have noticed way before then). I started having a panic attack in my dream, which apparently carried over to real life because my husband (our civil ceremony was a couple weeks ago :)) woke me up from because I was gasping. Three weeks to go and the anxiety will be over!

    I've had several wedding dreams!

One dream I was with my Mom at Kinkos, in my wedding dress, having the programs printed during the wedding.

Another dream, I got home and all my bridesmaids were in their dresses holding their flowers and they were asking me why I wasn't ready.

Glad I'm not the only crazy bride dreaming about wedding stuff!

yes!  And it's sad that every dream I've had about the wedding has been bad.  I'm never on time, and I'm freaking out.  I just hope it doesn't come true the day of.

I had a few wedding nightmares while planning, but none of them compared to the dream my best friend had!!

She had a dream that she went to pick up her dress from the seamstress and she had attached velvet sleeves. She said in the dream she started crying because she knows I hate the feeling of velvet and I wouldn't want to be near her!!!

    HAHAHA!

YES!  YES YES YES, I have these nightmares too!

They almost always center around it suddenly being my wedding day and me not being ready.  The most recent dream involved the following tihngs:

-Forgot to do my nails or hair

-Forgot to have my dress steamed

-Other people were hogging the shower and I couldn't get ready in time

-My mother had randomly planned a bridesmaids' dinner exactly one hour before the ceremony, in a crowded mall with no parking and no seating at the restaurant

-Cars were driving AT me as I went down the freeway (they were driving in the wrong direction, towards me, at a bajillion miles an hour) and i had to dodge them, video-game style

-A girl who I did not ask to be a bridesmaid kept interrogating me as to the whereabouts of her bridesmaids' dress...

...and on and on and on...

It does help to know I'm not the only one subject to the wedding nightmares.

Here's hoping we ALL sleep tight tonight, girls!  :)

Just had one last night! Omgosh it seemed so real and I literally thanked god when I woke up that it wasnt.  I was at the ceremony and had no make up on because my make up artist was nowhere to be found, then I realized that I didnt even have my dress on either and had to find a ride to go home to get it and when I returned to the church everybody got mad and left! YIKES!
