I used to have Alesse with the placebo pills and I would just throw them out. I now asked for the one without them. I really just think they are a place holder so you dont forget when to start your next pack after your period.

I take Alesse 28, and the first month I did just to keep myself on track. Now I am on month 3, and not anymore.  I enjoy a week of not having to take pills daily!

I do because mine have iron in them, plus it does help to keep in the routine of popping something every day so you don’t mess up on active days. The few times I’ve not taken the inactive pills, I’ve forgotten when to start up the next pack…

I never took them when I was on BC (And I was on BCP for 18 years). They are just place holders so you don’t get out of the habit of taking a pill every day. I started back up with the active pills

I never took them when I was on the pill. The doc said it was ok, with all the different types I’ve been on, so I just tossed them.
