LOLLLL Mr Bee!!!! I talk out loud to myself, to the cat, to our kitchen appliances, to the plants....gosh I never realized...poor Mr H...he'll be sitting on the couch going "What Hon?"....
I'm an only child (with a working single mom) so growing up I had to figure out ways to occupy myself. I think that is where talking to myself started! Now, I don't walk around like a crazy person, but there are times when I talk to inanimate objects. Plus, I'm unemployed and my FI is gone all day so periodically something will slip out about "Hmm what to make for lunch today..." Totally normal (or at least that's what I tell myself
) FI probably thinks I'm a lunatic.
I do sometimes talk to myself, especially if I'm really nervous, anxious or frustrated. Sometimes it just helps get things out when you say it out loud!
Umm... totally talk to myself. Sometimes my kids catch me and ask why.
He he. Oh well. I'm pretty mentally stable other than that.
Its embarrassing but I do it all the time, in fact I have conversations with myself :) crazy I know! But I only do this when I am preparing to have an important meeting or business call. I will talk out loud and will envision what the other person will say and what my reaction will be....but this whole conversation will be out loud. These conversations usually take place in the shower away from everyone, which is def a good thing LOL!
lol, I don't but my fiancee totally does ALL the time! At first I wasn't sure what I thought about it, it was kind of funny. After 5 years I've learned to love it, it's one of my favorite things about him. When I'm on the couch in the living room and he's doing stuff in the other room, I always know what he's doing, and sometimes even respond to his ramblings. In an odd way I think it makes us closer because it helps me see how his mind works!
Oh man, I don't know if I should answer this question on the internet ;-) Pretneding no one will see this - yes. I do. I probably shouldn't be so weirded out about saying it publicly - anyone who knows me knows I do. Especially in the shower, for some reason...
I talk to myself when I'm trying to remember things or figure things out. I talk to my dogs and feel like they respond back. I also get mad at my computer when it gives me technical difficulties.
I talk to the dog all the time!!! My Poor hubby is always calling out "What?" from the other room. Is this just a female thing?
I talk to myself all the time... and my dogs :)

Yes! I talk to myself when cleaning, trying on outfits and doing something that suddenly becomes difficult. To save face, it is usually just one or two sentences. :) I also talk to my cats!
Oh, my goodness, yes...
My background is in theatre, a place rife with craziness, where everyone talks to themselves at some point or another, so it's not really a frowned-upon practice... We always used to say that talking to yourself is okay, but when you start answering yourself is when you probably need to seek help.
when you work alone, most of the time you can only have conversations with yourself. my imagination is very active! 
i do it all the time. and sometimes, i'll start a conversation in my head and answer my own question out loud. 
. i don't know why i do it but i do.
Sometimes I'll be having a conversation in my head, or mentally making a grocery list, and accidentally answer myself outloud, its kind of funny. I also talk to my cats too. My fiance talks to the cats too.. they become like other family members... I think its normal.
i talk to my dogs all the time... i swear they know what i'm saying!

My FI does the same thing! When I'm at work I talk to myself, but at home I talk to the cats! LOL
I have my own office and very little interaction with my coworkers during the day so I talk to myself a lot!
I talk to myself all the time and its only because my FI takes to long to answer me! But I think its because half the time I am talking to myself and not him so he just ignores my yapping

Whenever my beeloved says something, I have to quickly figure out:
I'd say about half of the time, she is talking to either herself or to the cats. I will ask her, "What did you say?" and she will reply, "Never mind, I was talking to the cats." Or, "I was just talking to myself."
But if she is talking to me and I don't say anything, she sometimes gets confused why I am ignoring her.
It is because half of the time, she is talking to the cats or to herself!
Do you talk out loud to yourself? Does your SO find it confusing... or is it just me??
