If you don’t mind sharing, what is your FI’s height and weight? Just to get a better idea of his size and what size band would look right on him.

I find thin(ner) bands on men very very sexy.  I have literally begged FH to go thinner than 5mm but he won’t budge, LOL… I am not sure what the average width of mens bands is, if your FH likes it and you like it too then go for it Laughing Thats what matters  most, right!?!?!?

Depends on the size of his hands and fingers.  He should try the 3 mm on to see how it looks.  We’re looking at 6-8mm for my FI.

My FI is 6’8″ so there is no way a 3mm would work for him.  We went with 8mm and he really likes it.

My fi is 6’3″ and thin. I think 6mm is the thinnest he should go… hoping he goes with 8mm

I think Ribs’s ring is 3 mm. He’s tall and skinny with super skinny fingers. The ring looks just right.

I think 3mm is too small.  My husband is 5’10 and 155 lbs…and the 5mm looks perfect.  When I saw the 3mm, it just looked too thin.

My husband is a similar height and weight and 3mm looked pretty silly on him.  He tried on a lot of rings and eventually decided that 6mm looked best.  Anything that was less than 4 looked very feminine on him.

My FI thought he wanted a wider band (was convinced that’s the style he liked actually) but when we went to actually try on rings, he really didn’t like how they looked on his fingers.  He ended up going with a much thinner band and I love it (and my FI is 6′ and about 240lb so he isn’t a small guy either and he has large fingers – size 12 ring!).

Why don’t you just go to a jewelry store and try some on? I think that would give you a better idea than asking us :-). Only you guys can see what the rings look like on his finger – and a jewelry store should have a wide variety to choose from just to try on.

3mm is VERY small. My FI chose 4mm. That is the smallest I would consider. He likes it, but I would have gone to 5mm.

The ring I got my FI is a 5 or 6 mm I think. he is 6’4″ around 220 lbs and he has large hands. It just depends on the size and shape of your future hubby’s hands and if it’s a plain band or has some type of embellishments.
