@Zimmehh:The dress is gorgeous and if you love it, then you should wear it.
You are the bride, it is impossible for you to be overdressed.
If you love it, I say go for it!
no way - i think its perefct plus its only once you get to wear a wedding gown!
I don't think it's too fancy... the lace detailing has kind of a country flair, so I think it works. And you look beautiful in it! Maybe add a colorful cardigan after the ceremony to make it more casual?
@Zimmehh: OMG don't you dare do anything to that dress! :) It is...just perfect on you. I am almost in tears and don't know why! LOL It truly is breathtakingly beautiful and I can just imagine you in the setting you describe (totally agree with previous poster saying the lace has a country flair--YES!) I think it will fit your wedding day just fine because it suits you so well! From the ballroom to the meadow, heck you could stand in a parking lot and it would work! :) What colors and flowers are you thinking?
Sp pretty!!! Its perfect for a church/casual/fancy whatever wedding!!!
@Cornflakegirl: were doing purple and white, i think purple orchids in water for the centerpeices and lilys for my boquet! and i would really love to make the wedding have a rustic feel. ( were both pretty country anyway (: )
You don't need to make your dress less formal. This is your one day, and you should go all out. How often do you get to wear a big beautiful white dress?
Seriously, that dress is gorgeous! You look amazing in it! The Bride can never be over-dressed. ;) I agree with PPs about the country flair, and maybe putting a cardigan on or wearing colorful flats/boots/whatever. :) Think it'd be adorable.
I think you should wear what you want. How often do you get to dress up in a beautiful gown for such an important day!
The dress looks stunning and fancy but there is no too fancy for a bride. You should be the focus of that day, so go for it if you like it!
There is no such thing as a bride's dress being too fancy for her own wedding!
I agree with others. The dress is gorgeous on you! It will be perfect on your wonderful day :)
I agree with the PP's! This dress looks so good on you! No need to make changes.
I've seen a ballgown at a courthouse elopement... no such thing as too fancy.
It's impossible for it to be too fancy for hte occasion -- it's your wedding. This is probably the most important day of your life. Don't change a thing!
i don't think it's too fancy...it really is beautiful and looks great on you, and it's YOUR wedding so you should definitely still wear it!
There is no way you can be overdressed at your own wedding! You fell in love with this dress and rightly so. It looks amazing on you. Please don't do anything to the dress, I feel that it would take too much of its beauty away. I agree with PP that the lace has a country feel to it. It is perfect for any kind of wedding.
No it's PERFECT!!! Do not change a thing!

The Bee Who is Getting Married on the Beach in a Full A-Line Almost Ballgown With a Train

Definitely not too fancy. I think the tiered skirt actually makes it more casual somehow. It looks great on you, don't change a thing!
I might be biased because that was my dress, but I say go for it!!! I don't think you can be too fancy for your own wedding!! Looks great on you!!!! :)
I think its perfect for your wedding and it looks great on you! :)
I'm sure if you'd have added a poll you'd have gotten a 100% "It's perfect!" response. Love it.
It's perfect. If it was all rhinstones or something, it might be too much. But that dress is just perfect.
I would have to agree that this is absolutely stunning on you!
it's not too fancy, dear. you look gorgeous in it. you will be very beautiful on your big day with that dress.
Obviously you can do what you want. And it's clear that the overwhelming number of responses is telling you to go for it. But, at a BBQ reception where the family's grilling out, I personally think it's a bit much. At the very least, get it bustled to take up the train, which will probably make you more comfortable anyway.

i bought this dress because i fell in love with it as soon as i seen it on the hanger (i tried plenty on before and after though). Our wedding was supposed to be held at a very large, very fancy wedding venue...but we decided to do it at the family church instead to save money! The church is a small (fits around 100 people) country church. It's beautiful though! but our reception isn't going to be super fancy. My dad is grilling out so we can have BBQ and other side items. Were also doing a cupcake tower. So out wedding isnt story-book-fancy...and i feel like maybe my dress is to fancy for the ocassion? please give me your opinion! Should i shorten it to knee lenght? or maybe cut the train off if it is too fancy?
pinion!
