ok question to all the ladies…when you’re out and you stop some place to grab something to eat…like a 7 eleven…WaWa…whatever you have…do you call him to ask him if he wants anything? If you dont call do you get something for him…something you know he will like? Also if you are out shopping for yourself, do you pick up something for him like a nice shirt, etc? And do you do it because you are thinking of him or do you do it because you know when you come home empty handed and only got yourself something he will be a little sad/mad that you didnt think of him?!

I love surprising him! The only time I don't grab him something is if I'm clothes shopping, he's very picky. I do it because I love to make him smile and if grabbing some eggnog will do that, so be it! Also, I think I do it because I would love it if he did that for me sometimes. I feel like I'm dropping a hint.

I just answered you on the blog post... but I'll answer here too. :) When I'm stopping for food I do always call him to see what he'd want (if I'm on my way home and he's there. I'm not going to get him a burger thats going to sit in the fridge for 3 hrs). I do it because if I'm hungry he's probably hungry so why not make his life easier by getting him food?

It's like a 7-11 but they are only on the East Coast.  Their hoagies and iced tea are so good!

Many years ago I came home to a SERIOUSLY disappointed BF (at the time) because I didn't bring him food.  Caveat: We live on an island with no commercial restaurants/chains - So he craves weird things like a Whopper, Pizza Hut, Chipotle, etc.

I felt SO bad that I didn't bring him something from the Mainland that day.  So, now I ALWAYS grab him something if I have chance!  Plus, after 8.5 years together I know exactly what he likes, how he likes it and when he's hungry.   I love that I know him so well. Laughing

OMG. FI and i just last week a small fight about this issue, haha. YES, i ALWAYS am thinking of FI when i go to the store, to get food, etc.  i ALWAYS either surprise him or call and ask if/what he wants.  he, on the other hand, NEVER does any of this.  i have to BEG him to pick me up something when he goes out. :P  at first i was hurt by that, but we just have different personalities in this respect, i guess.

Yes! Not necessarily every time I am out, but if I am having a shopping day with the girls or something, I do try to get him something. Or if it is something/somewhere I know he would have liked. Also, even if I am just in the kitchen getting myself some tea, I'll ask if he'd like anything while I'm up. He wouldn't be disappointed; he doesn't really think of things like that. I just do it because I think it's thoughtful. I sometimes wish he'd do it! --veganglam, I guess we are in the same situation with respect to that!

I pick dinner up for him whenever I know we're going to be at work, or if he works later that evening. He's addicted to those Amy's cheddar bowls... I really need to see if we can buy them in bulk cause he loves them so much! But yeah, we always call to see if the other needs anything... we're cute like that.
