I am certainly not an authority on this but I did tip my hair and make up people for the trials (they both own their own business and they both charged me for the trial.) While I didn't drive 30 miles I did drive to meet them.....I tipped them 15% .... hope that helps!

You seem to be an overposter too! Just kidding...
As far as tipping goes, I go by the rule...if they work for somebody else, I tip them and I usually tip 20-25% for my hairdresser, because I love her and I never want to lose her! But, if she was the salon owner or on her own (such as at her house) I wouldn't tip. Now, for wedding day hair, I might tip a little bit, but if she's not having to give a cut of the $120 away to anybody, that's pretty good. Is she coming to you the day of?

Thanks girls, this helped me a lot! I'm off to my hair trial today! I'll tip her 20%, oh, and I'll definitely tip her the day of.

I'm wondering if I should tip the stylist (who owns her own company) for my hair and make-up trial? I'm doing it at her house (i have to drive 30+ miles) and paid $120 in advance for the service (which also reserves the wedding date). Should I tip her? Thanks for your help!!
