No, usually they have scents and dyes that aren’t good for sensitive skin.

The bar soap I use isn’t cheap though, depending on the bar size it’s usually around $5, but I by it by the slab (or maybe 1/2 slab, it’ been a while!).  It smells good and I guess I could use a cookie cutter to make pretty shapes.

Yes! Ever since I cane down w a thyroid problem my skin is super dry .  I am probe to eczema so I try everything To avoid getting it.  I found at this shop on etsy a few years ago and I haven’t turned back.  All organic and some are vegan.  Unlike most of those handmade soaps these smell amazing and lather up so much! I definitely recommend!

I don’t buy things that are all marketing (flower petals in and whatnot) if that’s what you mean… and I don’t usually buy special soap for myself… but I do LOVE when a friend gifts me with a special soap that is more beneficial, like handmade seaweed or charcoal soaps that don’t have a lot of extra stuff – just the soap and the booster.

I have super sensitive skin so I only use Dove. I like the pretty soaps, I just don’t use them.

I like Lush Cosmetics soaps and lotions, we have a store here in CO and I love to splurge from time to time on their stuff.  I try to stay away from soaps and bath stuff that has lots of herbs and things in them, but their product lives up to their claims so it is worth the money!  (When I splurge of course)

No, I use unscented Dove in the shower/bath. I use liquid soap at the sink.

I do, but I certainly don’t pay that much!! I buy mine from farmer’s markets or healthfood stores and they are usually all natural with no chemicals. I usually pay about $3-4 per bar. Mine don’t usually have flowers in them, but sometimes there are oats, poppyseeds, or yummy smells!

My mother makes soap and has her own soap side business, so when I get them for free yes 🙂 My favorite thing she makes though is the boo boo balm that stuff is great.

My best friend’s mom has a soaping business. Her stuff was all we used in college when we were roomies, and I LOVE it. She still sends me some in the mail every once in awhile, and my bridal shower favors were soaps made by her that looked like little cupcakes!

@Aquaria:  I don’t get stuff with flowers and whatnot in them because they can clog a drain and make a mess all over the tub. But I’ll buy artisan soaps without the stuff in it.
