I moved so I’m not working now, but we did you MS Office Suite. However, for more versatile use, we were working on switching over almost completely to Adobe Creative Suite for the graphic design capabilities (I was a marketing coordinator for an architecture firm and chiefly used it to put together proposals).

Word, Excel, and Powerpoint- for Mac.

I’m so happy to be rid of PCs!

@MrsPanda99:  Yes I mainly stay in outlook, word. I do work with excel too but im hopeless with it. I’m really just terrible lol. I lied a bit on a survey I had to take for my boss about my skill set because I didn’t want to look bad and then she was all “oh yay! you know excel well?! awesome, I wasn’t aware, here do this and this and this and this!” fml. I occasionally have to work with Power Point too, but that’s rare.

@MrsPanda99:  Congrats on the new job!

My main business is private music lessons. I use Excel to keep track of payments and my personal income (I need them for tax purposes since I have no employer to do this for me). I lump my income from wedding gigs into that as well. My second job is once per week in an office, and I use Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, Sharepoint, Access… okay probaby ALL of them, lol. I use those ones on a regular basis though – I copy technical drawings and documents to a digital format with those programs. Can’t say of what though since they are military projects.

For school, I use Word, One Note, and Powerpoint (mostly to view lecture notes).

I’m pretty well versed in most of them so feel free to PM if you need some tips. I’ve used the Windows and Mac versions (which don’t differ all that much).

We should have used a computer system for daily sheets and name-to-face checks, but we didn’t.

    Everything was by-hand, baby!

We use a fair mix. I just get annoyed because a huge chunk of our project info could be maintained in Access, but no, let’s spends hundreds of thousands a year on a special program that we can barely make sense of.

    End of work rant.

@MrsPanda99:  Ok confession? the last assignment I had, I emailed it to a grade school friend of mine and had him do it so I could meet my deadline lol. I did have him show me what he did after the fact but I have had to cheat before because I just couldn’t do it. I mean, I can figure it out, im a smart gal. But that time, I just didn’t have the time to move through it at a snails pace like usual lol
