Do you use NUVARING?

I used it for about 3-4 months, and didn’t love it.  For me, it was uncomfortable to leave in during intimate moments, believe me I tried to get used to it!  I mean, everyone is built differently, so it might be fine for some, but not me.  I ended up taking it in and out too often, and was annoyed by it.  If I’m bothering with it almost every day, should just take a pill!

TMI, it also gave me an unusual discharge that the pill never has.  I didn’t like that aspect either.

I have used it for almost 11 years- since the birth of my first daughter, and I really love it. so nice not to have to worry about it except once a month. I have not had any problems with it at all.

I have been using it for four years and love it. I had issues with remembering to take the pill everyday and with nausea so switching to the NuvaRing and only having to change it once a month was awesome. I haven’t experienced any noticeable negative side effects and it never feels uncomfortable.

I tried it twice, for a few months each time to give my body time to adjust. It didn’t make me emotional, gain weight or any of those common symptoms. It also was only a bit uncomfortable at first, but that was only because I didn’t have it deep enough. My DH also could not feel it during sex, and the few times he could he said actually felt good.

Each month that I had to replace the ring, I would get a massive migraine for about 2-3 days. Tylenol helped a little bit, but I consistently had a constant dull ache nonetheless. It also made my body hurt SO badly! Almost like the flu. It was especially painful in my legs, where it hurt just to lay in bed. Because of the risks of blood clotting in the legs with the Nuvaring, that symptom alone really scared me. I am also really active in the gym, and I didn’t like being laid up in bed for days at a time every month.

It did give me lighter, shorter periods. I eventually decided it just wasn’t worth it and took it out altogether. I wish I had a better experience with it, because it was so convenient!

I absolutely love it, I had a lot of trouble remembering to take the pill. I used it for 8 years with no issue. Once we decided to TTC, we got pregnant the first month off it. I have resumed using it and am getting ready to go off it again to TTC again 🙂

I’ve used it for four or five years and like it. In the past I’ve been on the pill, and had the shot. I like it because I don’t have to remember a pill daily, although I’m HORRIBLE rememBering when to remove it. It does sometimes get a little uncomfortablue during intimate times, but then I’ll just take it out and put it after. You do need to be really comfortable with your body for the removal of it- like be prepared to reach very far into your body. A friend of mone couldn’t handle that.

I used the Nuvaring for about six months a few years ago. It was fine at first, but after about three months it caused me to have severe vaginal dryness. I stuck with it because I already had paid for the next three month supply, but after that I switched to the Implanon.. which had it’s own set of ups and downs lol. I don’t do well on hormonal birth control in general.

I used it for years. Loved it and never had one problem or concern with it.

I suppose I can see why some might be uncomfortable with the idea of it since anyone who is all up in there can feel it but that never bothered me or any of my partners.

I used long ago and loved it. It was the best out of the hormonal birth control for me. Never had any issues with it. Occassionally, it would pop out during ….those times…but you just double check and make sure but yeah, it is super easy and wonderful in my book =)

I didn’t love it, found it difficult to get in place, and had it come out in the middle of the act. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but it wasn’t for me. I ended up just going back to the pill.
