We open 1 gift on christmas eve but Fi has already snagged a few of his gifts
We open them on Christmas Eve, at night. It's what my family always did growing up.
That's what we both did when we weren't married, but now I'm not sure why we've become such early openers. lol.
We usually wait until Christmas morning, but if somebody sends something through the mail we usually open it in case it's perishables! (Or at least that's the excuse...) :D
I always wait. To me, it kind of kills the fun and excitement of Christmas to open stuff early.
We open a small give on Christmas Eve, and all the other gifts on Christmas morning. This year will be different, though, because my parents will be on vacation for a month :(
I wore the boots DH bought me for Christmas yesterday... in my defense we won't be together Christmas Eve/Day anyway.
We used to get to open one present early.Then the rest on Christmas Eve once we got back from the Christmas Eve Service at church.
We do Christmas morning. But since my MIL took over all holidays, we have Christmas at her house on a completely different day than the 24th or 25th, therefore DH and I can have the actual Christmas day all to ourselves. It is lovely.
I grew up doing presents on Christmas Morning.. My fiance's family did it Christmas Eve.. so we do something Christmas eve with his family..then we come home and do ours..so that Christmas morning is focused on his daughter.
We always wait until Christmas morning for family gifts, but if I were to see a close girlfriend before the actual day and we had gifts for each other, we'd just open ours up during our time together so we could see each other's reactions!
LOL, since DH usually does NOTHING before christmas eve we wait. Last year my christmas gifts were all bought at CVS. At least this year he is making me my fork braclet so I know that I will like it, LOL.
I voted that we wait but thats not exactly true. Its important to us to have "our christmas" (mine and DH's) in our own home alone, so if we're not going to be home on christmas eve/day then we just do it the last day before we leave.
Generally everything has to wait, but my SO and I already knew what we were getting each other. He asked me for a wi fi booster for his laptop and I wanted him to see if it worked before christmas so if it sucked I could get him a different gift.
Now if only he would let me try my gift out. 
Growing up I always opened all of my gifts up on Christmas eve.
So for my husband & I this works out great! We visit my parents on Christmas Eve. We open our gifts to each other then, along with the gifts to us from my parents. Then on Christmas day we go to his mom's & mamaw's & open our gifts from them that day.
mostly christmas morning... but last year FI and I went to vegas for a friend's wedding.. so we opened ours on the 23rd because we didn't want to take the gifts on the trip with us.. and I gave my siblings theirs on the 23rd as well and let them open it..
but besides last year always christmas day.. sometimes eve!
My parents bought me and my FI a Kitchenaid mixer for Christmas!!!!!! EEEEE!!! Yes, I'm quite excited. I'm quite the baker and it has been my DREAM for like 7 years to own one of these. Anyway, they sent it to us early and I definitely unwrapped it. And I've been using it all the time.
@Juliepants: That's what I do too. Everything else waits until Christmas morning.
Growing up, my and my sister would each open one gift on Christmas Eve, and the rest on Christmas Day. FI's family opens stuff from his parents on Christmas Eve at their house, then we move to Christmas Day at his brother's with his wife and their kids.
It'll be interesting to see what traditions we make on our own, and how we mesh them with his family. (Mine is all east coast, so I/we visit them in Jan normally).

We always open ours on Christmas morning. There have been a few occasions where I knew what I was getting and wanted to use it before Christmas, so I opened it beforehand (like a new lens for my camera one year...I wanted to use it to shoot everyone else opening their gifts on Christmas morning so I just opened it when it came in the mail :P).
We always wait until Christmas morning. When I would go to my mom's on Christmas eve, obviously we would do it then since I would be with my father in the morning.
The only breakage to the rule is that I got SO a replica of the charlie brown christmas tree 
He's been asking for it for years, and it will be delievered today! So I'm going to let him open it so he can put it somewhere in the apartment.
We usually open a small gift on xmas eve as that is when we usually have xmas dinner with FI's dad. Then we do our xmas, xmas morning with fun breakfast and everything. Then we go over to my family's house in the evening and have xmas dinner and open xmas gifts. It is a good time. But yes, we wait till xmas morning to open all our gifts.
We usually open our gifts a few days early, so we don't have to travel with them. (And have time to try them out, if necessary. )
I bought FI some slippers, since he'd been wanting a pair and I felt we'd passed the magical "ok, I can start getting you boring things like slippers now" milestone.
We broke all the rules for these slippers. He knew I was getting them, he knew how much they cost, and he knew where I got them from. He'd wanted them sooner over later, since his feet have been cold.
I still made him go in another room while I wrapped them.

The DH decided to get us a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas. What a great gift for two coffee lovers to enjoy come Christmas morning, right? Well, he decided to open it today. I didn't protest...to be honest, I was equally excited. Overall, it doesn't upset me. We, especially him (lol), tend to do this a lot. Just the other day he got me a really nice cookware set that I'd been eyeing for some time and he insisted I open it already. He was so excited for me, lol.
There are certain things I make him/us wait for, putting my foot down.
