I don’t. They kind of freak me out. But it’s okay if other ladies wear them.

Sometimes. For special occasions or if I want to look extra nice for a date night I will wear them.  I occasionally will get eyelash extensions before a vacation or something

I don’t wear them. I was blessed with super long eyelashes. My aunt has extensions and they look fabulous!

@figgnewton:  Not at all! It just takes some patience and a little time. They do not hurt even when they come off, because they pretty much fall out naturally. Depending on what kind you get, they can last anywhere from 2 weeks to a couple months. I am sure price varies, but mine were somewhere in the $40-$50 ballpark. I had them done for my wedding/honeymoon and I loved them:

For everyday just be mindful of what kind of look you’re going for and also your eye shape. I have very deep set eyes, so I can ” get away” with longer lashes and not look too Vegas- Showgirl. For ” everyday” I have used more expensive brands from Sephora or MAC, and also cheap ones from Walgreens. I like both for different reasons, but I find that if you take care of them, even the cheap ones can have a decent life span. I just buy the length I want, measure them against my natural lash line, trim with small scissors if they need to be shortened ( always trim the inner corner) and then apply the glue, let it sit for 30 seconds or so(before applying) to where the glue is ” tacky” and then apply. I also use the edge of a pair of tweezers to help push it down onto the lid/lashline.

For  a wedding I was recently in, we just did DIY makeup and I used false lashes from Walgreens. They turned out pretty nice and photographed well since they were longer/thicker than usual:

ETA: sorry for all the huge pics— I am not sure how to resize these! Hope this helps.

@figgnewton:  I wear them when we go out on the weekend. Love them! I just buy the cheap ones at the drugstore & cut them down to fit me bc I have small eyes. Duo adhesive is the best.

I did extensions for about 6 months last summer. They were amazing but I had my get them refilled every 2 weeks bc my lash cycle was faster than normal so they became a hassle to maintain. Theyre gorgous for short term use though. I always fell asleep during the application! Haha

I never did until my first makeup trial, and now I want to start!  Although I got all the small ones placed, instead of a strip, which could take forever!!!

@figgnewton:  I totally do, only on the weekends though, I rub my eyes a lot at work…I’m a fan of Benefit Costmetics Brand and their glue…but that stuff is not for kids….seriously sticky!

…and just so everyone knows that I look like a real person most of the time…here I am at our renaissance festival last year, sweaty, happy, kind of drunk and wearing false eyelashes too!
