Personally, I don't think that yellow or white gold ever goes out of style. I have jewlery in many different metals and I love them all.
We bought my white gold e-ring when I thought I hated yellow gold, my white gold wedding band when I was starting to warm up to it, and I wore all yellow gold jewelry (except for my rings) at our wedding. :) I used to go all one color or the other, but now I kind of like the mixed metal look.
I don't really like to wear yellow gold but I still wear silver with my white gold ring.
I have a Titanium and Ruby engagement ring that I will wear with my white gold wedding band.
I have a white gold e-ring, but wear a heirloomed gold chained necklace with jade and gold pendants 24/7. I can't bear to take it off, but will remove the necklace for the wedding. The necklace stayed on for e-pix though.
Hey I wear a two tone watch too! I love it because it helps me mix metals. My engagement ring is palladium, so white. I'm debating styles for a wedding ring. My original plan was a palladium and moissanite sparkler, but I'm starting to loooove the look of a gold band. Traditional, warm and gorgeous.

I'm just curious about combining metals. I tend to match. Until very recently I had a two-tone watch and if I wore anything yellow gold, all of my other jewelry would be yellow or two-tone. If I wore something silver, everything would be white gold or silver.
I know yellow and white gold go in and out of style. I have a lot of nice pieces in yellow gold (right hand rings). I don't want to stop wearing them.
What do you do?
