@MrsBluth:  Oh, Lucille, you shouldnt be embarassed! Wear that thing proudly! I’d be sad if I didn’t get to wear my ring for most of the day!

@MrsBluth:  In a nutshell, yes you are crazy Wink  Wear your ring with pride regardless of what size it is.  Who cares if others think it is too big or too small.

I’d avoid wearing my ring in the medical field because who wants other people’s fluids getting on your ring but other than that I’d rock it.

I have a 2.43 solitaire and I wear it every day. I don’t get embarrassed. I know what it’s worth (insurance purposes) and I would hate to not wear it.

@MrsBluth:  Honestly, I see this just as offensive as not wearing a ring because you’re embarrassed it’s too small.  If I were the man in this situation, I would be a little hurt by it.  You should be proud to wear the rock he got you!

I’m not embarassed by the size of my ring but I tend not ot wear it to work because I am on construction sites and odn’t want to risk ruining it.

@MrsBluth:  I have a 1.1 ct equivilent moissy which most people seem to assume is a diamond. In my area (and particularly my paygrade) that is a big stone. It’s also in a big, non traditional, possibly considered “flashy” setting, so I feel like that makes it look bigger. I’m hopefully about to start a new job and have been debating about this issue. I didn’t wear it to my interview because I didn’t want them to assume I’d just be planning my wedding on company time or something.

@MrsBluth:  you should definitely wear your ring if it doesn’t interfere with your job.  i wore my ring every day to work and it’s shows a lot of bling.

@MrsBluth:  I’d wear it for sure! I always wore mine when I was working and loved having it on all day.

@NovaRising:  I will hopefully be an RN someday, and thinking about not being able to wear my ring makes me sooo sad! Dirtying/diseasing it up makes me sadder though.

@jessicadarling:  ROFL!  I’m right there with you since I’m going to be an RRT.  Sputnum with diamonds and an Amora Gem sounds pretty gross.

My ring is considered big and yes I wear it to work. I have the ring of my dreams and I would hate not to wear it for 40 hours a week! My coworkers are used to it by now and the only person to comment on the size was my boss (good natured comment, by the way). Now he’s interested in upgrading his wife’s ring so I feel like I helped a sista out. Tongue Out

Mine isn’t huge (1.3 carats) so I wear it anywhere and everywhere, but a coworker has probably a 2 carat or so ring. She swivels it around so only the band shows whenever she meets with clients. She’s a social worker, though, and deals with a lot of low-income clients.
