I can’t wear my band til December but I plan to wear it on the outside (opposite of what most people do). I am always paranoid about losing my ring and that’ll be the extra layer of security that’ll stop me from being so paranoid!

My mother in law says you should wear it first on your finger as it’s closer to your heart.

I heard that the wedding band is supposed to be worn closest to the heart, not sure if this is true lol.

@housebee:  I love your wedding band! I have been drooling over a similar one myself.

I always see the engagement ring on the outside of the wedding band.

I wear it on the inside (Closest to my palm) because I like the tradition of keeping it closest to my heart.

I’ll be wearing my wedding band on the inside mostly because I prefer the way it looks, at least with my specific rings.

I wear it on the inside, as pp’s said you’re supposed to wear it closest to your heart

I’ll be wearing mine on the inside as well because I was told it needs to be the closest to your heart.

I’ve always worn my wedding band below my engagement ring. Closest to the heart, and to me it just looks awkward on top.

I plan on wearing my band closest to my heart when I can finally wear my band on September 13, 2014. I am a nurse so when I can’t wear them, my rings will be on a necklace I have. I think it honestly comes down to comfort/personal perference and culture (some people wear their wedding/engagement rings on their right hand).

Traditionally in the US, the wedding ring is worn closest to the palm. Because I am so used to seeing it this way, and because tradition says it is “supposed” to be that way, I cannot help but thinking that the wedding ring worn on top of or after the ER is “wrong”. Obviously, however, they are your rings and you can choose to wear them however you wish. Not everyone observes tradition.

I always planned on wearing my e-ring on the inside since I assumed it would be more expensive than my w-band!

But then I got my great-grandmother’s wedding band… So I wound up wearing them with the wedding band on the inside!
