Too funny Mr Bee...I was just telling my BFF who is a newlywed about my new "addiction" the other night. I had never heard of it before a few weeks ago & she had not either...she was like oh I wish I had known about it during wedding planning.
btw - I'm 30 minutes south of Boston
I reside in NorCal and I have yet to hear anyone talk about wedding bee... two of my best friends never mentioned it during there wedding planning this year which surprised me! I think its the BEST addiction for bride to bee's!!! haha
I live in the Bay Area...Silicon Valley...and I've never heard of anyone talk about it here, but I also don't know many people that are getting married. For the people I do know that are, I try to spread the word.
i live in santa barbara and work with a lot of guys so they don't really know about weddingbee. but all of my family does :)
I had definitely never heard of it. Just found it by accident googling for non-traditional wedding music. I've been raving about it on facebook and to everyone, so some people here in TN know about it now! I've got at least 2 other girls in my life getting married this year, so I'm making sure they know about it. (Tho one is my FSIL and a bridesmaid, so I'd have to be careful what I say if she starts stressing me out... hmm.)
I left facebook messages on all my engaged friends pages for the to check this out! I love this site and find it extremely helpful!! I havent heard back from any of them yet to know if they have signed up though!
Well I live in south texas and not really a big bee population but I am working on that! I am working on that. I tell everyone about!
Someone should make a WeddingBee group on Facebook, everyone is on there! Then invite all your engaged friends!
Though, there might already "bee" one I haven't searched on FB for it! lol
My friends never heard of before I started planning our wedding but now I blog about how awesome it is all the time and how I'm jumping off so many bees' ideas :) I live in DC.
There is a FB group if anyone is interested! I just joined and shared it with all my friends so hopefully they will join and get the word out about it too!
I live on the West Coast of Florida and hadn't heard anyone talk about it. But now EVERYONE hears me talk about it! :)
I honestly don't know anyone that knows of Weddingbee around me. I'm pretty sure ALL of my friends have heard me rave on and on about it. Since then I have about 2 friends who are now addicted and we chat about what we read. :o)
I've told some friends about WB because of my blogging, but I don't think many of them check it out. I'm just about the last one to get married of all my friends, so I understand if they aren't too interested in checking it out.
I always wonder how many brides know about it when I am at bridal fairs or other wedding-ish events. I over hear them talking about something and I just want to say "check out Miss so and so's post on that! She did a great tutorial."
My circle of friends in NoVA have never heard of WeddingBee! It's definitely gained some traction in this area, just not amongst my friends. It may because we're just now hitting that phase where everyone is getting hitched.
A few of my friends know. I have told a few military brides here at the hospital where I work about it (cool new military board) and I've told my friend (part of the encore couple) about it too.
I will blab to the world thought when Ms. Sparkley (nickname for the ring) goes on the finger!
I really don't hear anyone talking about Weddingbee here in Chicago. My friends (some of whom are engaged) and family only know about it because of my blogging. I try to spread the word whenever possible, though! :)
I'm from Delaware, and I'm sure no one has heard of weddingbee in my neck of the woods. The Delaware thread on the boards is also pretty quiet. Since I'm all about weddingbee, it often comes up in conversations with my friends. They think I'm crazy now, but once they are engaged they'll understand.
I'm in NY (about 2 hours north of NYC) and only a few photogs around here have heard of weddingbee. I've been sure to let all the engaged girls I know about it though.. and now I've got a few of them hooked!
In Seattle, my friends are getting married like crazy right now, but no Weddingbee mentions. Of course, enough people have seen me on this site by now that word is bound to get out ;)
I live in the Midwest...OKlahoma to be exact and nost of my friends and family are in Louisiana or Texas and they are not the hip on the bee yet!!!!
Not really. I think only 1 friend does and I was the one that directed her on here.
There are a lot of SoCal bees on Weddingbee, but I feel like a lot of people I talk to don't know that much about weddingbee or even wedding blogs. I've been sending friends who get engaged links to all my favorite wedding blogs because I found them so much more helpful than magazines.
I live in FL... an engaged friend of mine told me about WeddingBee when I got married. I have since been spreading the word to all of my friends as they get engaged (and a few that aren't!)...
I'm in Chicago, and there are a ton of Chicago Bees writing for the site. I have told my engaged friends about it. I can't even remember how I found it!
I will speak for the Canadians and say that no, it's not really well known north of the 49th parallel. At least, from my personal experience.
i've asked my friends and most don't know about the site...i stumbled upon somehow when searching for dresses one day.... the rest is history! { i heart weddingbee. }
Only one of my friends knows about it ... and she isn't even engaged!! I'm a Boston bride!
I think I found wedding bee when doing some type of Google search on Wedding something-or-other...I am not sure any of my friends know about it. I had never heard it mentioned before and msot of my friends/family are in Florida.
I live in southwest Virginia and weddings are unique here, but none of my friends had heard of WeddingBee. I'm passing the word!
I am friendly with one of the Mrs. Bees and used to read her blog when she was getting married. When I got engaged I hopped on the bandwagon : )
Most of my friends know about it b/c they know the Mrs. Bee and/or I have talked about it.
I had no idea this world existed before until I googled "alterations in DC"...I've asked a couple of my friends if they had heard of it and they hadn't...so maybe it is regional...all I know is I am hooked!
I have very few married friends and none who are engaged, so I don't have a clue whether they know about Weddingbee or not. I found it by accident. Happy accident!
Get this...I'm a so cal girl and I heard about it from a New Yorker online!
None of my friends know... I think it's crazy. But, then again, I found it because I was looking to DIY everything whereas they were looking to have everything done for them and aren't searching for the same things.
I've told friends and acquaintances that are getting married and I know at least one of them has joined up. Otherwise, I keep my post-marriage Weddingbee addiction to myself!
I'm in Socal and theres a bunch of us getting married this year and i let all of them know about Weddingbee and they are all here now! its too much fun chatting with other bride to bee's, no one else gets our excitement.....
I found Weddingbee through a friend of mine who got married in September. The Columbus local board is pretty dead, though, so I don't know whether there are a lot of Central Ohioans on the Weddingbee bandwagon!
NOPE! I live in St Louis and stumbled across Weddingbee by accident. I have a few friends getting married and while I feel selfish keeping this great site from them, I also like to keep my anonymity because if you knew me, you'd know it was me so quickly it wouldn't even be funny! I need most of the DIY tips, while their wedding needs vary greatly, from the girl who's got it all worked out to the girl who's crafty mother has it covered, another one is Indian so her parents are taking care of it so the culture is implemented into the wedding properly, to the girl who's fiance is all about the wedding.
I think it's definitely something you only know about if you're getting married.
I found it through another blog I think? Or googling? Or maybe one of those top blog sites?
And I'm currently living in Upstate NY!

Some people have told me that none of their friends know what Weddingbee is... while other friends have told me that ALL of their friends know about Weddingbee!
I think part of it is geography. For a while, there were a ton of New York bees, and I heard a lot of New Yorkers talk about Weddingbee! But now there aren't that many bees in NY but there are a TON in SoCal!
I'm curious... do people know about Weddingbee in your neck of the woods? I guess it would help if I also asked: where do you live?
