Morning lovely bees! I am offically getting married THIS week! Woohoo!! I did a do your own makeup trial a couple of weeks ago and posted pictures and got some very sweet reviews. I made a couple of slight changes, added some lipstick and took some photos outside (a tad on the squinty side). Should I change or add anything? I tried adding some individual falsies and it did not work out. Thinking I’ll go without the false lashes b/c they were a major pain. I think I’d end up ruining my makeup just trying ot get them on.
So what do you think? Do I look bridal?? 🙂

@The_Future_KB: I don’t think it looks bad, but I don’t think it looks bridal either. To me, it looks like everyday make-up. You wouldn’t look out of place in my office.

I think it’s really pretty! Natural, but still bridal.

@The_Future_KB: I think it looks great. I don’t really know what bridal to you looks like but for me, as someone who hardly wears makeup, it looks great. It accentuates your eyes and lips and looks great in photos. I think you could accentuate your cheeks a bit more though.

@The_Future_KB: I can’t get the false lashes to work either. They just end up ruining my eyeshadow or the glue clumps and rpevents me from shading properly. Grrr!
It’s a great start but I think I agree with Panda that it’s not quite bridal. For pictures you may want a full coverage base to even out your skin. But I know ladies with freckles don’t always want to cover them all up so it’s up to you on that.
For lips you need a liner and a matte under your gloss so it lasts longer and makes your lips look fuller.
More blush is always a given when getting professional photos done because regular makeup tends to look washed out. You might also want to consider a bronzer just under your chin and jawline so your jawline stands out from your neck in side photos (this is what always gets me!)
Again, like with the blusher, you could use a lot more eyeshadow to make the look a bit more dramatic. I would also recommend using more eyeliner to make your eyes stand out more.

@MrsPanda99: What would you suggest to change it from every day to wedding? I don’t wear that much on an every day basis, but it’s similar.
@beachbride1216: Thanks for the specifics. That’s what I’m looking for!

I need to wear false lashes to look like how you look without!!! I think it looks great! I think “bridal” makeup shouldn’t deter from what you normally look and just enhance it. It’ll also help that on the day of you’ll have your gown, hair and accessories too right? I personally think you did a great job 🙂 (Although i hardly wear make-up, can’t do it to save my life and have no eyelashes)

I like it! Personally, I’d add go with more blush, and also amp up the lip color a bit. I wore a pretty natural pink similar to what you have here–beautiful for everyday,, but it barely showed up in photos.
Also, you are beautiful! 🙂

I LOVE the color of your lipstick! But…I think it could be just a shade darker for pics. More blush and I think you are good to go!

I like it! As a usually no-make up gal myself, this is the kind of look I want for my wedding day – soft and fresh, and not over done. That said, maybe a touch more colour on your cheeks would be great, but other than that, thumbs up from me!

Love it, natual and sweet.
I would consider just a tad more blush though.
I would love to see it with your hair all done up!

I agree with @kerpao:
You are are gorgeous, you dont need a full face of make up to be ‘bridal’!
You have done a beautiful job enhancing your features, your eyes are stunning and lashes are to die for as they are!
I would do a tad more blush but other than that you look amazing girl!

@The_Future_KB: You know, I think “bridal” means different things to different people. I think your makeup is just lovely – it compliments your face without taking over. If you decide to do heavier makeup, would it bother you if you don’t really look like “you” anymore? It all depends on what you like 🙂

It looks great, my only imput would be more blush on your wedding day, or some facial contouring, it will look great im color and B&W photos!
