Our cat sleeps in bed with us when he feels like it, I don't mind because he keeps my toes warm.  :)

Well the one dog is still pretty young so she sleeps in her crate.  The other dog usually switches between our bed and the loveseat, just whatever he's in the mood for!

My toy poodle sleeps with me and my SO every night.  When I first got him, he was being fostered and slept in the bed with the foster people, so it was just an easier transition, and I like having him there when I sleep alone. :)

Why?  Because it's her bed of course!  Right smack dab in the middle between fiance and me.  Sometimes spooning with him, sometimes with me.  Other times laying sideways but always touching one or both of us.

Yes, my cat pretty much considers the bed hers, we just rent it out for 8 hours at night. Makes me mad because she gets fur all over the sheets and I have to use the lint brush before I get in bed.

    None of the above.

Our cat ocassionally will sleep at the end of the bed. But our dog has a bed, and doesn't need ours. Plus... he's like... the size of me, so that would be awkward. Like 3 people sleeping in a queen bed. and one of them is reeeeeeally drooly...

When I had a dog, no. I just think treating pets like people ends up being bad for them. He was very spoiled though.

I'm not much of an animal person I guess. I can't imagine letting an actual animal sleep in bed with you! I mean, it's an animal! On your nice sheets and comfortor and pillows!

Yes. Our dog sleeps under the covers in between us. Its really annoying because we have a queen size bed and he is about 50 lbs. Our one cat starts out the night sleeping on my chest and then when I turn on my side or stomach, he curls up right next to my side. He stays there the whole night. Our other cat will usually sleep in the window nook behind our bed and occasionally in the winter he will sleep in between our heads. Its a little ridiculous but we love it. They sleep with us because they are like our babies!

ETA: we used to have our dog sleep in a crate in our room but he would cry soo much at night and it was really annoying. And if we ever close our door and keep our cats out of our room, our one male cat will pee on anything and everything.

In the mornings while we're waking up they're allowed on.  Not at night while I'm sleeping, everything wakes me up lately so no need for more wiggles in the bed to make me alert.

I'd probably die from allergies if our dog slept in our bed with us. He's not even allowed in our bedroom - I need one dog-free zone!

She sleeps in the bed with me or my husband if the other person isn't there - she is a huge sprawler & heaven forbid she can't sprawl to her max length b/c our bodies are there :)

But on the floor, she must have a pillow to rest her head on, lol!

The cat does, on my side. Typically between my legs or on the side of them. The dog sleeps on his bed and isn't allowed on the bed really unless he's jumping up to wake me up in the mornings. One 15 pound cat is quite enough for us!

Nope. He used to sleep in the room with us or at the foot of the bed, but he sheds a little too much for my liking and he snores worse than a human. When he was getting better sleep than I was, things had to change.

He now has the ENTIRE couch to himself. I feel sorry for him.

He sleeps with us most nights. He just likes it there. He'll sometimes sleep in his own bed, though, especially if he gets hot.

When it is cold outside, yes, our dogs sleep in the bed.  But when the weather is warm, they sleep on their own beds.  Apparently, we make them super hot during the summer.  They will cuddle for a little while then jump down and get on their own beds.  It's nice having them there, but it's also nice having room on the bed.  Even a king size bed isn't big enough for 2 people, 1 80lb. dog and 1 40lb dog.

We have three dogs and one of them sleeps in bed with us. Occasionally he will sleep under our (very low) bed. He's weird sometimes.

Our cat will share the bed in the winter when she's cold; otherwise she prefers sleeping in her box (she has a cardboard box with tissue paper lining that she prefers to any cat bed in the world).

Of course the kitties sleep with us.

And in response to "I can't imagine letting an actual animal sleep in bed with you! I mean, it's an animal!", HUMANS are members of the animal kingdom too! We are mammals (like cats and dogs) and primates!

in my old house, my dog would sleep in my room but at this house she's just too noisy so i don't let her. the cat likes to sleep at the foot of my bed sometimes and in the morning she's come over within petting distance or curl up on my stomach.

If you would have asked me a year ago, I would have said yes but we finally have been good about keeping her off the bed. It helps my husbands asthma slightly if she stays off the bed.

My old cat used to sleep under the covers with me like a human, until my DH and I got married and he moved into the bed. lol

My young cat on the other hand, wow...she's a pill.  Every single stinkin morning at about 3:30 I awake to a purring mass on me.  It doesn't matter if I'm on my side, stomach, back, she will find a place on my body to lay on and start purring until I wake up.  It's like she's saying "Hi Mom.  It's me.  I'm ready to cuddle.  Wait?  You want to sleep?  Ok.  I'll just purr louder and lick your face and eat your hair until you wake up." She's just so freakin adorable I can't help but give her some cuddles for a few minutes until I push her away.  It's quite the adorable, yet annoying routine.

No. We used to let our dog sleep with us but he hurt himself jumping off the bed and the vet recommended we not let him sleep up there anymore or we'll risk him getting hurt again (he won't use pet stairs). The cats we don't let on the bed anymore because they would always kneed the comforter and I was tired of all the holes and fuzzies!

I originally wanted our dogs to only sleep on dogbeds on the floor.  It lasted about 1 night... I've always allowed my tabby to sleep on the bed with me so my fiance thought it would be cruel to force the poor dogs to sleep on the floor.  Now both dogs sleep on our bed with us and my tabby shares my pillow with me.

Lincoln sleeps whereever he damn well pleases. If he feels that ontop of my face is the ideal location, that's where he sets up camp!

He normally sleeps in bed with us, right where my lower legs/feet should be. God forbid I nudge him so that I, the human, can be more comfortable. There are many nights when I wake up to my toes being biten.

Our beagles are too crazy to have in bed with us! They sleep in a crate in our bedroom and they seem to like it. We got Penny first - and sometimes in the mornings after FI left for work I would take her into bed with me and she would sleep in for hours with me. But Desmond - the second dog is too crazy! He won't settle unless he's in his crate and when he's awake in the morning - he's really awake and wants to go outside and eat and start his day! So sadly, we can't have them in the bed.

I grew up with my childhood dog always sleeping in my bed so I find it very comforting to have the dogs sleep with me now. Usually they start off on the bed then in the middle of the night just down to lay on their dogs beds but by morning they seem to have made their wasy back and I usually have to force them out of bed to go to the bathroom before I go to work.

Before DH, my dog slept with me- I always wore pajamas.  When I got DH, he said no dog in the bed, and now we sleep without pajamas- now I can't imagine a dirty dog in my bed.  Also, we are so desperate for our sleep- there really isn't space for a giant dog.

Sometimes - Our dog chooses where she sleeps most nights (so long as she isn't touching DH - he gets too hot).  Sometimes she sleeps near my feet and sometimes she sleeps under our bed.  Where ever she is in the mood for I guess!

I'm sorry, you have the question backwards.

It should read: Do you sleep in your dog's bed.

LOL my dog owns my bed.

No - our last dog, 15lb yorkie, slept with us and DH HATED IT!!

So when we lost Cody in Dec. and got a new puppy (Lab) this January he does not sleep on the bed or go on any furniture. He was crated at night for the first 5 months but now he sleeps freely in our bedroom at night, usually right next to my side of the bed.

No!  The bed is the only place we've kept firm on our golden retriever puppy NOT going.  He occasionally puts his front paws on it and reaches over to us, but he gets yelled at.

When he's doing jet dog (running around all crazy with energy to burn) he has occasionally jumped on it, but it lasts a second and he's off it because he knows he's not supposed to.

I'm so glad we stuck to this... he's just 6 months old and already HUGE and I can't imagine trying to sleep with him in the bed with us :)

I love my pupperoo and there are nights when I want him in our bed and snuggling, but we've never allowed it and we're trying to resist giving in to those puppy eyes.  When we had a cat, we let her sleep in the bed and the thing literally took up more space than another human being and she was only 10 pounds.  Also, she would lick our faces or walk on us at 3 am.  The pup wakes us up as it is by licking himself and he also barks and runs in his sleep - it's hilarious.  The 3 of us in bed would mean not a whole lot of sleep for me and DH.  But pup has his own bed on the floor right next to me that he loves.
